zow2 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago - Get some help for Bobby Babich, we have some athletes but they are not in good position and the in-game schemes are off on 3rd and medium+ - Change this season's offensive philosophy. Stop playing such conservative football in the first half of games. When you have Josh Allen and deficiencies on the back end of your defense, building a nice lead with some up-tempo offence will get you the #1 seed. These guys are holding back and running the offense like we have Joe Flacco at QB. Check the film from the previous few seasons on how they rolled teams in the first half. - Demote Ray Davis and promote the Gore Jr. kid. If nothing else, to send a message for a week or two. Gotta give James Cook fewer touches without losing massive amounts of productivity. - May need to trade draft assets for a legit downfield threat, these outside WR's are not championship caliber guys. 9 4 Quote
T.E. Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I'd love to see them stop the completely ineffective DL rotation, just play the best four down lineman for most of the game, and see where the chips fall. 3 3 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Agree with all 3 points. Especially with the conservative offence. Drives me insane when Josh Allen is the QB 4 Quote

Livinginthepast Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Babich is useless. He is obviously running McD's mediocre defensive game plan but he runs it worse than McD! I honestly dont see the point in going forward with him. Brady needs to stop being so afraid of unleashing Josh and stretch the field. 1 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) One thing that really bothers me is supposedly how difficult it is to bring new guys in on defense. It is a huge flaw to have a system that requires so much experience at the cost of improved athleticism. We have younger guys who are better athletes (Hancock) just standing there watching games. I want more athleticism and talent on defense -soon. Edited 4 hours ago by D. L. Hot-Flamethrower 2 5 3 Quote

Yeah imagine having Josh Allen at QB and play ball control offense vs Spencer f'n Rattler, he who was 0-9 as a starter going into our matchup. Sometimes you can just punch down vs an inferior opponent and smoke them. 3 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’d like to see what it looks like to move T Johnson to the boundary. I’m beyond tired of hearing how great this dude is. There’s never a single feeling of comfort on 3rd down…that’s the money down for the slot. Add those two things up and what do you get? We have a big time need on the other side of 47. If Johnson can run with guys in the slot, idk how he can’t cover guys on the outside with the aid of a sideline. It’s probably a move that allows us to strengthen two areas. And again…if this guy is some elite slot CB, why do teams have guys streaking wide open across the field on every 3rd down? These are difficult questions to ask and will be met with thoughtless push back. But what I’m saying makes sense if you think about it. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Ingram over White. It honestly can’t be worse. Once Hairston gets up to speed (if he gets up to speed), White should be on the PS in a Poyer role. 3 7 Quote

I was calling them out in the game thread. There were at least 7 called shot plays. Josh isn't throwing them because the receivers are not getting open. You can't try and stretch the field with these receivers. They are jank. 6 1 2 Quote

I'm convinced that McD, Brady and Beane talked about offensive philosophy before the season and they are paralyzed with fear over JA getting injured. I mean i get it, he's the only way they win the prize. I don't want him hurdling LB's either, and he broke his left hand diving into the end zone last season vs Arizona. However, there is a way to scheme up plays beyond handing off that can mitigate risk. He's at his best rolling around, fakes, throwing misdirection. I also think there is a risk of injury standing in the pocket while it's caving in on his legs...or hitting his fingers on a helmet on a follow-through throw. Quote
Brand J Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It’s the first time that conservative offense has produced multiple turnovers in what I can remember, but I agree 100%. Joe Brady likes to play small ball in a run first oriented offense and only seems to get aggressive when there’s urgency. Let’s throw out bubble screens unless the opposing team is blitzing relentlessly. Let’s attack down the field and in the intermediate. More rub/pick routes if the receivers can’t get open. One of the things about playing against Tom Brady and Belichick’s defense was that both of those units always seemed to be “on.” Their offense was ALWAYS a threat, Belichick’s defense was ALWAYS scrappy and challenged everything. If you beat them it was well earned. I feel like the Bills think they can turn it on when they need to and that’s what concerns me most. They need more of that Belichick Patriot relentlessness throughout the entire game, not only when it’s needed. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago sounds like we lost milano again for a while. It would be great if someone in the secondary could make a play on a ball. Erik Turner just said on his podcast with sal that the bills have the lowest pass breakups in the league. They have only 2 for the year. A league Low. Defense is going to make this team have to score in the 30's going forward. Such a bummer. 1 Quote

He’s nowhere near as physical but the head start of being back there can cover up the speed loss. White knows the defense front to back and can help call it on the field. He also has good ball skills. You got Bishop to run and be physical. Use Tre as a veteran ball hawk. He can’t play corner anymore. Let’s at least see if we can use him there before getting rid of him. Our defense can’t be worse. Start taking swings here Quote

Roundybout Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Cut Tre. It’s time. He offers nothing to this roster anymore. Swap Thompson for Milano full-time if his boob hurts again. Figure out what we’re doing with Samuel/Codrington and trade the one we don’t keep 1 2 Quote

We have JAGs all over the place. Crazy how a team like the Rams traded all their capital and then rebuilt their team in a year or so yet we co time to wiff on draft pics and FA signings. Beane is like Oprah. "You get 1.7mil and you get 1.7 mil all while Josh may never get that ring. 1 Quote
