If he isn't having a productive game, then that puts too much pressure on Allen. The answer to that, was throwing Cook the ball in the flats/over the middle. Get him in space and let him cook. 2 Quote
Success Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Author Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM The tape is certainly out there now on defending Maye when he rolls right (something we didn't really adjust to). It's where he has his most effectiveness. I think he's a really good QB - but our D just made him look a level better than he is right now. 2 Quote
mabden Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM If it wasn't for Diggs bailing out maye, all game long, maye's performance would have been considered mediocre. Throw in the non international grounding calls, and it would have been below ave. 1 Quote

How are the Ravens looking when Lamar gets hurt or has a bad game? Yeah, OK, thanks for coming to my TED talk. You think you are proving a point but there is no point here. Of course a WR cannot shine without a competent QB. Who was even arguing that point? Only you. Quote

I guess I miss-read when you said the lack of elite talent on the Bills would make them a 9-8 or 8-9 team when Josh plays "pedestrian" football. The point is, that is the exact same thing with the Bengals, the Ravens, the Chiefs and whoever else regardless of their "elite" talent around their QBs. The elite QBs don't play elite and every team is mediocre. Not too hard to connect the dots, son. But continue on with your diatribes against that "soulless ginger", you do you. HamptonBillsfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He wasn’t as good as the defenders covering his prime target (Diggs)was awful. If that’s the way our corners play man defense, we’re going make opposing QBs look like Probowlers. How many times did D-linemen have opportunities to sack him and he got free to find open receivers who got YAC. Dequan, Bosa, Epenesa and Rousseau all whiffed on Maye and let him run for 1st downs or completions. We need Hoecht, Ogenjobi, and Oliver to make an impact because with our D-line’s inability to get pressure and Milano’s limited availability, our crappy secondary is being exposed. Beane made all these D-line acquisitions and oft-injured Tre White for corner depth with Hairston in the 1st round and through 6 games, we have zero impactful additions to our defense. I like Palmer, but on offense as well, who is making a difference as an offseason pickup? Now if Beane stands pat at the deadline, he thinks this roster can get us to the SB. If teams go to school on the Pats game, we’re in for a lot of shootouts. Quote
starrymessenger Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Diggs had a monster game it is true. The Pats dont win without him. But Maye found him and made the throws. That’s why they won. It didn’t look unlike some of the Josh/Diggs performances we saw in the past. Quote

The coverage from our secondary was what “bailed” them out. Don’t like the Pats but they played a great game that we sadly came out on the wrong end of. Quote
