Is Diggs doing that against the NE Defense with Gonzalez and Davis?

 

No. 

 

Hes still a nice WR, but doesn’t change anything for us.   He cooked Tre and our zone coverage.

 

Tre is washed.. Taron might be too and Benford has looked more like Carlton Banks than Carlton Davis so far this season.

Yep. Tre is a shell of himself. He was constantly 3 steps behind Diggs all night. Frankly, he's been subpar for most of this season. And I like the guy. But his playing sucks.

I mean anything is possible but I think they’d be more likely to score less points.  The Coleman fumble could’ve potentially had a 5-6 minutes of clock difference not to mention it handed them an immediate 3 points.

Bills games with Shawn Hochuli as the head ref.

Tonight vs the Pats - weirdly reffed game, you could argue a big reason the Bills entered halftime with only a FG. 7 accepted penalties on the Bills before Pats got their first. Very ticky tack stuff.
Divisional vs Chiefs 2024 - Bills doubled Chiefs penalties and yardage, to be honest I don't really remember much about this game other than Bass' missed FG to tie
vs Eagles 2023 - Bad intentional grounding call, AJ Brown fumble, horsecollar tackle. Just a terribly reffed game.
vs Patriots 2022- Fairly average penalties, this was mostly a beat down
vs Dolphins 2018 - 120 penalty yards on 13 penalties accepted
vs Ravens 2018 - 100 penalty yards on 10 penalties accepted, this was a big blowout with Peterman

He actually got a decent amount of press before the Chiefs divisional game with Bills fans calling him impartial and complaining he got assigned to that game including a NYTimes article (here), so I wouldn't be surprised if he kind of hates us.

He had an almost 4 year gap between being assigned one of our games, and I hope that happens again. Just totally kills the flow, which will benefit the lesser team.

Taron Johnson was TERRIBLE. So many times he took a bad angle and then just watched as Diggs ran around him. Terrible effort and tackling by him. I think he has reached his shelf life.

Taron Johnson and Christian Benford being very very average this year is masked by the absolute dumpster fire that Tre White has been.

I'm a little worried about the division. 

 

The Pats schedule is - well, it's somethin'.  At minimum, there is a very good chance they take the division lead at some point in the next 6 weeks.  

 

We absolutely have to win the rematch, which we should.  But we have the Chiefs & Eagles - and they don't.

I don’t even see how we really got exposed tbh…still moved the ball pretty easily outside of completely self inflicted and oftentimes ticky tack penalties.  Just a couple silly uncharacteristic turnovers on top of that 

 

kinda felt like the universe balancing out that ravens win honestly lol

Their defense went from worst to well above average in 1 offseason and ours has been consistently bad against good QBs for almost a decade now.

They got Barmore & Gonzalez back and signed Milton Williams and Carlton Davis. 
 

We can’t sign guys like that because we pay Josh Allen, but also waste money on guys like Samuel and Palmer, who I would love to be proven wrong about at some point this season.  
 

Not fun to see Benford be completely meh this year though.  We can’t afford to miss on extending guys.

Yep...too bad Dorian Strong is injured.....would've rather had him out there.

 

Hope Hairston comes back healthy and ready to go  sooner rather than later.

I think the pats are gonna shake out to be good offense/average defense.  Bills offense was an absolute mess today with self inflicted nonsense and still moved the ball pretty easily

 

theyve played all pretty bad offensive teams  and the bills offense at their absolute worst 

 

they did get some big players back compared to last year too…their defensive roster at full strength was pretty solid last year

But on broadcast it looked pry difficult out there for the offense

We had exactly 15 penalties and 11 accepted. I don’t think any McD team has ever had that many. Obviously Hochuli's hatred for Buffalo (dating back to his father) didn't help.  But the bottom line is we cannot commit 3 turnovers and expect to win.

I mean we were converting 1st and 15/20s pretty regularly all night lol cut out one of the stupid turnovers and that’s an easy win even with a hilarious amount of penalty yardage on offense 

 

guys were running free all over the place predominantly TEs…Josh just got antsy and kept scrambling into pressure in the first half like he was back in year two 

 

Pats d did a nice job on that final drive for sure…probably a bit fortunate to avoid that pi call though but it was questionable enough where they let it go.  Bills bailed out that pats defense the whole first half though

Johnson was way worse than White.

He wasn't nearly as good as those stats suggest. Most of his throws were checkdowns that the Bills missed a bunch of tackles on.  He made only a couple of nice throws all night. The rest were checkdowns or great plays by receivers.
