Ravens caught a break with the Steelers losing, but that is probably negated by the fact they now need to play the Bengals twice with passable QB play.

The Bengals haven't beaten the Ravens since the 2022 season. Last year, they lost to them twice. You can throw records out when the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers play each other. That's why you cannot take nearly as much from last night as people on here want to.

Predicting right now who wins the AFCN is impossible.

Same as to if another team would make the wildcard.

Lots of swings can happen there.

Same with the AFCE sadly.

Wait. We’re not to the midpoint of the season yet, that’s when the Steelers’ season traditionally goes south. In the end, it could be a very tight division of very mediocre, at best, teams.

The bullets in the chamber, if you will, of the Ravens is a lot more potent and able to cause damage than any other team.

No one will convince me that the Ravens played poorly in the opening game.

So they’re 1-5 now.

I see a minimum of 4 more losses on that schedule. So 8-9.

I think they’re out.

I see something else.

I think the Ravens are about to go on a long winning streak and be declared "back" by the NFL media. They have Bears, Fins, VIkings, Browns, Jets coming out of their bye. Then they have a HUGE primetime game at home against Cincinnati. If they win that, which I suspect they will, given that CIN can't win in Baltimore even with Burrow, they will be at 7-5 when they host the Steelers on 12/7.

The Steelers go Packers, Colts, Chargers, Bengals, Bears, Bills in that same run. There is a very real chance that they lose three of those and that both teams are 7-5 when they play on 12/7. That game, which is currently scheduled for 1:00, should be flexed to primetime. I wanna see Rodgers play a primetime game in Baltimore for the division.

In fact, there is a very real chance that the week 18 game in Pittsburgh will be for the AFC North and the only the division's only playoff spot.

This is a long way of saying that the AFC North is the most fun division in football and that it is far from over.

Bengals will win the division.

Nah, I think the Chiefs win it and become the first team ever to win two divisions in the same year.

People laugh at me, but the Bengals are winning that division.

Here's the standings:

Steelers 4-2

Bengals 3-4

Browns 2-5

Ravens 1-5

Steelers have Green Bay, which is a "bet the house" type game. There is zero chance Green Bay loses that game vs Rodgers. Rodgers doesn't win those type of "big games." And this one? No way. He'll be way too tight, too wound up, and the Packers will bulldoze the Steelers.

Bengals have the Jets this week.

We're 3 days away from the Steelers being 4-3 and the Bengals 4-4.

Burrow is reportedly on track for a mid December return. Bengals and Ravens play twice, once in late November and once mid December. Only 1 of those teams is making it in, but IMO one will.

Rodgers is playing well this season, but overall the Steelers are frauds. That defense is atrocious.

Ravens are too far back. They already have 5 losses, and could easily lose to the Bears this weekend. Bears are no longer a joke. Ravens have Steelers twice, Bengals twice, plus the Packers and Patriots. There are some losses in there, even if everything was 100%.

It's happening.

They come up against a new look Bears team this weekend, and then four out of their last five games are Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Steelers.

Honestly, they could legit be 7-10 or 8-9 when everything is said and done, and that is with getting Lamar back soon.

EDIT:

At the absolute best they go 9-8.

However, I don't think that gets them in.

Schedule remaining:

Bears, Dolphins, Vikings, Jets, Patriots, Steelersx2, Browns, Packers, Bengalsx2.

They would need to win 9/11 of those games (10-7) to get a shot at a WC spot. It's not happening. They are done. The hole is too deep.

How I think it will shake out:

1: KC

2: Indy

3. Pittsburgh

4: Buffalo

5. Chargers

6. Patriots

7. Broncos

WC round: Indy over Broncos; Patriots over Steelers; Bills over Chargers

Division Round: KC over NE and Indy over Bills

AFC title game: Chiefs over Indy

I believe the Chiefs are assured another SB unless it's against the Rams or Eagles. Philly is a bad matchup for them. And the Rams have a HOF HC/borderline HOF QB. It would be 50/50 in that case.
