Buffalo716 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Offensive player of the year incoming for Jimbo?!? The K gun always ran through thurmanator and James Cook is now officially one of the top backs in the world I always thought he had a lot of talent but needed to work on other areas to become a Bell cow He is legitimately a feature back and I'm glad beane got it done He has world class vision , amazing burst and has been finishing behind his pads for a while and hes hitting his prime Thank you Jimbo! Your on your way to accolades Edited 1 hour ago by Buffalo716 3 1 Quote
Pecker Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I admit I was wrong about cook. I would not have paid him. He is showing this year why I’m he IS worth it. 1 Quote
NewEra Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Definite possibility. As of now, I’d say he or Puka are the leading candidates 1 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's got to be in consideration for sure. Who else is really ripping it. Jonathan Taylor maybe? Quote

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I think Jonathan Taylor is the best bet, partially because the Colts need to ride his high usage whereas the Bills could find themselves spreading the ball around more in blowouts or at the end of the season. Puka is a candidate too since Stafford is giving him the full Kupp treatment. Also something of an injury concern as he fully embraces contact. Then there’s Bijan Robinson who is an all purpose yards master on an offense that can sputter. I’d put Cook at third most likely. Edited 2 hours ago by SageAgainstTheMachine 1 Quote
PoundingDog Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I know this thread is about Cook and so far he's the engine of the offense this young season. What I'm worried about is both Davis and Ty Johnson being so ineffective that something may have to be done if they don't pickup their play. Just look across the field, even for the Saints they have 3 RBs each can make some plays. Quote

mjt328 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He's quite possibly been the best RB in the NFL for the first month of the season. Second in rushing yards. First in rushing touchdowns. And he's probably had 4-5 shoestring tackles that prevented him from hitting another long touchdown run. I'll quickly admit my take on James Cook was wrong this offseason. I thought he peaked last year, and could be replaced without much drop-off in our team's offensive production. But he really took his game up a notch this year, going from a mostly homerun threat to one of the league's best 3-Down backs. Quote
Big Turk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hmm...the K gub...is that like the gumbo version of the K-gun? 🤣🤣 Quote

CEN-CAL17 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I don’t really care about awards…. But why has Ray Davis averaged less than 3 carries a game thus far? He’s on pace for like half the carries he got as a rookie. Yes Cook needs to run the ball…. Needs his touches. But I’d like to see Davis build on what was last year. Maybe average 7 carries a game vs less than 3. Edited 1 hour ago by CEN-CAL17 Quote
Process Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You realize how valuable Cook is every time Davis or Johnson touches the ball. May be the most valuable player on the team not named Josh Allen. Stud. Quote

Your on your way to accolades He is by far the most impressive player this year. Consistent as hell. A lot of Allen’s success comes from having a balanced running attack to lean on. 1st down is so important and having a back that can rip a 6 yard run out of the gate really helps a drive’s success. Low Positive Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 6 minutes ago, dayman said: Man we picked Justin Shorter right before Puka You can't do that. If the Rams knew he was this good, they would have picked him 4 rounds sooner. They were just as surprised as everyone else. Quote

wppete Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago I have a feeling he gets to 1500 yards Rushing. 400 yards receiving and 20 TDs. Quote
