Home country advantage is one thing.  The kind of crap being spewed at him, including yelling as he’s starting his swing, is another.  He and his teammates are kicking ass.

the more he is a baby about it, the worse it is going to get. He was now griping about quiet mumbling in the crowd around the green. He needs to ignore the small stuff and play through it.

It’s not small stuff at this point.  They have a lot of NYS troopers out there now.

Rory is such a baby. I don’t get how anyone can like this guy.

As opposed to the country club milque toasts on the American side?

Is it fair to say Keegan Bradley may have gotten in a bit over his head?

It’s the players….

Oh, I complain a lot about all these golf (and tennis) players. There needs to be a higher tolerance for crowd noise. It’s so soft.

My absolute favorite tennis was the World Team Tennis stuff with loud music, a lot of beer, a lot of laughs and great tennis. The raucous setting adds all the energy in tennis, imo.

Hell, I’d rather PLAY there too, but I guess we did that with nobody watching. Our club in Sarasota had phones (before everyone had a cell) at each court to order pitchers of beer from the pub upstairs looking over the courts. Those were the days!

What a disaster, they almost officially lost on Saturday

I can't even remember the last time I bothered to watch Ryder Cup golf on a Sunday.

Which sucks when it's one of only two golf events that you're interested in seeing. :(

When did heckling from the crowd become a thing in professional golf?

It's not a good look, and certainly doesn't help the stereotype.

It's been going on in this tournament for decades.

It's ramped up this year because they're on a public course right next to NYC.

I think it's basically only a Ryder cup thing though

You won't see this at the Masters

I can not imagine the punishment for heckling at the Masters.  It would be brutal for that  'patron'.

Just watching some bbc clips from the RC. I had noticed this too when I was watching the nbc feed. NBC was editing out all the chirping and heckling from the crowd and actually inserting cheers for a good euro shot…..watch the bbc feed and it’s really ugly….really ugly. This is where we are….networks running cover for ugly Americans.
