The people saying that, “if Cook holds out, screw him, we will be fine because we have Ray Davis” deserve to be tarred and feathered for their horrendous football take. 🤣🤣

Has there ever been a group of posters more wrong ???

🤣

Henry will go down as not just a HoF RB but as a historically great RB. Everybody would benefit from Derick Henry on their team

Everyone had a chance two free agencies ago and barely anyone wanted him.

Ravens got him for cheap.

Henry did not hit free agency twice, drafted by Titans in 2016, they put franchise tag on him in March 2020, he signed new four year contract in July of 2020. Became a free agent after that contract and Ravens signed him.

Luckily guys like Henry are a dime a dozen

Please keep my words in context. There’s other power backs outside of Henry. Throw Bijan, Barkley and Taylor into the fray. I’m sure there’s others but that’s just to name a few.

That wasn’t his point at all Chris, @Einstein was simply pointing out that 2 free agent windows ago was when Henry was signed for a cheap deal for a player of his talent/production and not that he’s been passed up in 2 separate windows.

Which, he isn’t wrong. The majority of leagues essentially let the Ravens sign him uncontested.

The franchise tag kind of muddies the 2020 contract. Free agency started in March, Henry signed tag in April and it was 2020, beginning of pandemic. Henry had a strange time in Tennessee, was a back up for first two years. Then had two really good years, maybe he was a victim of the NFL not valuing RBs. During his second contract, he was injured one season and Tennessee was bad. I’m sure all that factored in. I’ll be glad when he retires.

I can't find myself on that post. But that's not bc I was on the right side of history, but because I was so upset by the pick, I didn't even want to talk about it.

Glad I was so wrong. Though to those that were upset by the pick like me, I still maintain that Allen is a unicorn. The exception, not the rule.

If we found ourselves in the same situation in the future, I'd still be against the Allen like prospect. Bc 9.5 times out of 10, you're ending up with Trey Lance or Anthony Richardson instead of Josh Allen.

My bad, got it, but apparently even if you said what I thought you said you still would have been right.

I don't think either Davis or Johnson have been great thus far to be honest. Johnson was a bit better this week but thank heavens we got the Cook contract sorted.

The people arguing with our offensive line it didn't really matter who the running back was woulda had the shock of their lives if we were watching Davis and Johnson as our primary ball carriers right now.

Hi👋 , that was me and I was absolutely wrong.  Cook IS dramatically better than Davis and Johnson and really is a difference maker.   I didn’t think it was worth paying him, in just 3 games, he’s proven he is one of the best in the business and somehow looks even better than he did last year.

Also, Ray Davis has to be the most disappointing guy on the roster this year, he’s a massive drop off from either Cook or Johnson.

The thing I noticed last game is the defenses are really getting their hands in their to trip up the runners.  Cook can beat those hand slaps to the feet. The others haven't yet. I'd fear gore jr would drop the ball.

I think the team needs to find a way to fix this tripping up issue.

I agree.

There were 2 plays where Cook was shoestringed… one where I thought he saw the tackler and could have high-stepped.

He does run with a gliding style. A little of the tire or mesh drill could clean that up.

👍

I understand it’s totally different circumstances from Karlos Williams (who ate himself out of the league) but after Williams’ rookie season I thought he might end up as an all time Bills’ great. Then, poof, he was done.  Davis doesn’t look anywhere near as good as last year so I hope it’s just a sophomore slump.

The season he was injured most of the year, the Titans actually earned the #1 seed in the AFC.

From what I remember, during his first two years as a backup he was reported to be on the trading block. Titans were looking for a day 3 pick for him. No one jumped.

Then he had to start due to injury and popped off a huge game on national TV and the rest is history.
