I want Hoecht to be taking some of Epenesa's snaps the minute he's allowed to.

And Solomon's. He is better than both of them.

If Walker - a 4th round pick - plays well above his pay grade the rest of the season, is there any incentive on the Bills' part to reward him financially next season? I'm not talking about an extension, but merely paying him closer to what he might be "due".

He is being paid exactly what he is due according to the rookie wage scale.

You can tell Walker and Hawes are starting to get that "I belong here" confidence

They may represent felony worth draft steals the way things are trending.

Maybe more than defensively, Epenesa contributes on special teams.

Last night he played 15 of the 26 special teams snaps.

Yes, and he’s quoted in Joe B article this morning on special teams kick coverage adjustments.

Although I think Hawes penalty on coverage was really in Epenesa

I think that there is a provision in the collective bargaining in which players that outplay there rookie contract automatically get performance bonuses. I think Cook got one.

As for Walker... I said he was like a young Jordan Phillips when we drafted him. That is what I see. He is a big body with a habit of getting penetration.

How long before Hairston actually plays? Sure we’ll get the he’s missed time run around and see Tre finish the year.

There will be ramp up time for sure. Probably more than I'd prefer. But we'll also have 13 regular season games remaining (and a bye) when he comes off of IR.

We need an impact CB2, this year, for the playoffs.

Walker started the game, didn't he? Did NOT expect such early returns tbh. Good for him and them and us!

It’s ironic how Walker was thought of to be more of a project, and yet he’s significantly outplayed TJ Sanders and Landon Jackson.

Looks like rookie star Deon Walker deflected the ball on the Bernard interception.

I think it would’ve been an interception either way. Tua completely missed Bernard. Walker might’ve even made it harder to catch by tipping it

The game last night provided plenty of evidence that we need to get talent up to move Tre to the bench. It’s not even his declining athletic skills as much as it is our scheme is asking more of our corners in man, and while it’s never been his strength it is at this time an obvious weakness. Between Max and Strong we need someone to emerge and begin getting reps from White.

It was an INT because he Tua couldn't see around the 6'7'', 335lb missile running at him. He had no idea where he was throwing that ball.

I know Walker’s pressure caused the interception. I meant the tip itself really didn’t affect the ball that much as Tua was throwing it towards Bernard anyway.

Wow two days in a row we agree...

I hate PED cheats but if Hoecht is going to be on the tram I hope they just outright cut Epenesa. They arent cutting Jackson. Who else would you cut to make room on the roster. I suppose Samuel could go too.

I know he was raw but I’m still amazed the kid made it to the 4th round.

Out of the crop behind Harmon/Grant/Graham, he was my fav’ prospect to grab for the DT position.

If he continues the growth and polishes up his leverage, he’s going to be an extreme problem in the league.
