The Bills have a very clear style.  Don’t turn the ball over, control possessions, double dip at the half if you can, and only open up when you absolutely need to.

you are concerned about a potential scenario of them being down and needing to reel off big plays less than three weeks from a 15 point comeback and victory in 4 minutes .

the team CAN come back, but their built to not put themselves in that position

yes they did that by very explicitly toasting a single player who was catastrophic. I can hope Dallas makes the Super Bowl and we get Elam- but I do think it’s a fair challenge to point out that we may run into

28 pass attempts (plus the 4 Josh scrambles) for 213 yards is pretty mediocre, just saying

Controlled the ball, Cook also had 100 yards,

it’s not gaudy, but it wins games.  I’d rather win a game with a Brady esque game manager controlling tempo and play over a Joe Burrow 400 yard loss

The Bills offense is very good. The Oline is awesome and the TEs can really block well. Excellent running game. Josh is one of a kind .The WRs are good and unselfish. It's a very tough offense to stop.

However, there are some concerns about the lack of vertical passing and the threat of it. I think thus far we really don't have a definitive answer. I suppose at some point teams will try to force the Bills to throw it deep. Come playoff time, I hope the Bills offense has that in their arsenal. It will be needed against the better playoff teams.

against probably one of the worst secondaries in the league

it's just how we want to play offense

Yep That's exactly what I've been saying about Joe Brady. We want to play offence in a 7 yard box

I’m assuming you are talking about Alexander, who they went after on the final drive.

but Allen showed plenty before that going after everyone on that defense.

That’s an unrealistic expectation.

and by the way, the bills have been the highest scoring offense of the decade so far.  But what you are asking is for even more on top of already being the best?

there’s a point where you have to understand perfection isn’t attainable

no one said perfection.

I just think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how other teams are built if you think the options are cincy or us at WR.

Another WR thread.  Lol.

Seriously tho, the answer is no.

The predictable Brady runs on 1st down are getting a bit irritating tho.

It's not just another WR thread if you

Read the full thing. It's a combination of WRs not getting open plus Joe Brady  being predictable on 1st downs especially

Disagree.  You can't ignore the 3 TD passes or the 25 yards in rushing that came at critical moments. Not counting the kneel down at the end of the half, the Bills scored (or should have with a missed 39 yard FG) on 6 of 8 possessions.

IMO the Bills may have the best and most balanced O in football as it seems even better then it was last season and it was top 3 then.  The problem with the Bills is NOT the passing game it remains the same as last season - their defense struggles to get off the field at key moments in the game and it allows to many 3rd & long to be converted.

I feel like we started off well enough passing, even if it was short, but then we got into some 2nd/3rd and longs after the Phins slowed down Cook, and some of the issues started to creep up.  To be fair, there were a couple of drops that killed drives too.

It would be nice if we got to see a better intermediate pass game, also more playaction.  Cook had 70 yards really quick in that first half but we didnt see enough playaction to complement his runs.  Whatever, things to work on.

I think this is more because there's no use in throttling games in three quarters and there's no adversity and no rhythm

This is classic case of playing with your food and Brady teams did this for years throughout the regular season at points.. we're not opening up our full offense week three against a week opponents but we're also not trying to pull Josh at the end of the third quarter

So it leads to JV level calls and it's just playing with your food until they want to finish it

idk....the last game in the playoffs against kc looked exactly like this if not worse.   I think they want a slow safe game where they can take no risk and

try to control the clock.   sometimes it works...sometimes u have to rely on luck at the end of the game.

No, and I think it’s a conscious coaching decision to be boring until circumstances dictate we have to let it rip.

The Bills are one of the most disciplined football teams in the NFL. They’re constantly methodically marching down the field and scoring, and they do it at a high level of execution most of the time. They’re daring other teams to do the same, and betting on the fact that they can’t, or that their variance is too high to make it sustainable for their opponents.

Enlighten me on how other teams are built.

weve watched KC get to the Super Bowl three years in a row turning into a dink and dunk offense that’s WORSE than ours.

Baltimore has two hall of Famers that collapse the defense and force the opportunity of downfield passing.  I don’t think Allen can adopt that offense and stay healthy throughout, he takes too much contact

philly has a similar offense to ours as well, just worse this season

Detroit is a new wave offense, but they have sacrificed their defense to staff it and they won’t win a Super Bowl with that defense being so bad

the only offense that maybe is a bit more downfield that has a better chance to win the Super Bowl is Green Bay, who is a huge unknown and mortgaged their future regardless

We have a WR separation problem, again. If the TE's continue to emerge, it won't be that much of an issue. We still have 17, and he has been successful either way. 3 more TD's tonight and the Bills are 3-0. I will say this, don't be surprised if Gabe makes his way to the 53 when he finally gets healthy. Also, don't be surprised if Shavers' number of reps continue to increase.

First 2 TDs....loved the play calls.

It's almost as though the Fins injuries in the first half knocked the Bills out of sequence. After imposing their will, there were the two poor calls/plays which led to the missed FG, and things didn't look the same after that.

Joe Brady is going to be the most sought after coaching candidate in the league in January.

It would be smart to enjoy him while he is here.

I think they severely missed more play action tonight.  Force the backers down into the box and use your TEs like they did early on
