9/18/25 GAMEDAY Bills vs Dolphins Post Game Thread TNF

Scored 31 points, won by 10, Josh with 3 TDs. zero turnovers but it sure didn’t seem like it. Josh had SIX incompletions and realistically FOUR were horrible drops.

 

* Miami was 10-15 on 3rd downs! 🤮

*Groot was AWOL this game which happens way too much. 

*Zero sacks and a D that just doesn’t look in sync.
*ST kickoff coverage was shaky and Prater missed a fairly easy FG.

*McDermott’s use of TO’s was questionable and missed challenging Hill’s 3rd down conversion.

*Brady had no answers for almost three straight possessions in the 2nd half which can’t happen.

*Surprised we never attacked deep offensively 

 

3-0, mini bye, get healthy and D work to tighten things up. On to the Saints!

Ever think that the Buffalo coaches only showed enough on offense to get the win...you know, kinda like what the Chiefs do every year before the playoffs.

Yep, talked about that in the game thread. Half Brady, half talent, half offensive line tonight. Yeah 3 halves 🤔🤦‍♂️

We have key guys out on defense, but surprised we did not do more against that suspect Dolphins O-line. Also did not expect their collection of DBs to be able to defend our WRs at all and not sure what they were doing to keep Allen checking things down will wait for Marino's all-22.

They were doing a good job with backside pursuit on our runs with Cook tripping him up in the backfield. Think that is why Brady went to more pitch plays to Cook in that final drive as a way to try to negate what they were doing, but they did a good job of turning him back inside against the LBs and pursuit.

 

Those first few series it looked like our offense could not do anything wrong and the Dolphins were simply outclassed, but the Dolphins made some adjustments on D that seemed effective in taking away a lot of what Brady wanted to do.

 

Defensively we just need Oliver back healthy on that line and if there was any doubt we know what Tre is good at and where his ceiling is for sure. Had no chance against Waddle, I think he knows and his game now is about keeping things in front of him and trying to take good angles and avoiding getting burnt on the big plays, he also has stepped up his tackling, but he gave up plenty of 3rd downs and the Dolphins were looking for him.

I honestly just want to see Hairston on the field. When have we had that DB that can just blanket and lock down speedy receivers - it has been so long and if he pans out you have to wonder how much that will free up what they can do on defense.

Our Bills won folks and they have a long break to rest up and heal up some more.

The D wasn't set.  He called a TO.  Next play resulted in the Dolphins punting.

Guys, I hate to break it to you but Tyreek Hill is good. He had a good night. Even if he's not quite peak he's still a top half of the league WR1

The defense was terrible for most of the night.  I will have to watch the tape, but for the most part, I thought the DTs were kind of rough.  Deone Walker had a couple of flash plays, but I thought the position as a whole got washed out too many times tonight.  And I think that is why this game was so close.  The best way to beat Tua is pressure up the middle.  We got pressure on their last drive and he threw it right to Bernard.  But too many times, we didn't get the pass rush we should have against their banged up offensive line.  We miss Ed for sure.  Hopefully he is healthy and ready to go sooner than later.  

 

And one more thing.....where in the heck is Groot?  I mean, they paid extra attention to Bosa all night and I don't think I heard Groot's name once.  That's not good against a banged up line.

I didn't focus too closely on the DL,  but my impression was that Walker had a solid game.

TJ Sanders and Rousseau were awful today. Did nothing to affect this game. Thankfully Deon Walker and Bosa played tge butt off.

It’s a fair point even though I still contend that tyreek should be in jail
