Walking Tall Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Cincinnati never scared me even with Burrow. The Bills would have carved that defense up and the Bengals that played with an edge of a few years ago are long gone. 1 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Are you sure you don’t want to change that Texans game? They don’t appear to be the opponent many thought they’d be. 2 Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I may be in the minority, but I hate that segment. I was hoping that after Howard retired, they would mothball the whole thing. I love the morning show, but I can't switch the channel fast enough when they announce that "Howard Picks the Bills" is coming on next. Edited 1 hour ago by ChevyVanMiller 1 Quote

Is it the way it’s presented? Or the host? I think the concept is really interesting. Things change throughout the season. We learn more about how each team looks and of course there’s the whole injury perspective. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago it's a fun segment where they can do the whole "we kidnapped Howard and made him pick the Bills" shtick. It adds some levity and humor and it's a nice reminder of what a professional broadcaster sounds like. 2 Quote
dollars 2 donuts Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) @boyst I want this. Thank you. Keep it up. Howard is like me. The Bengals are in my head. I also thought the Falcons would be a tough out. It is one thing to follow this weekly and another to see the week by week. I don't know how in the world anyone right now...right now, mind you, could justify arguing the Bills losing to the Texans. I don't even recognize Stroud anymore. The Falcons are one of those teams that look good on paper and then the Bills beat them like they did Seattle last year to show how big the gap is between an elite team and a middling team. Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Howard Simon would have been a better choice to play George Costanza than Simon's real life cousin Jason Alexander. 🤨 Quote
Gregg Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's hard to predict the games at the end of the season. If the Bills have the division and #1 seed wrapped up, then I could see them losing to the Jets at home since they will probably treat it like a preseason game and play mostly backups. Now if the Bills need that game for the division or seeding then they will most likely win it. 1 Quote

They don’t appear to be the opponent many thought they’d be. Also there were almost as many Bills fans as Texans fans at the last Bills-Texan game. With the Texans doing so poorly thus far it would not shock me to see the crowd 50/50 negating any real home field advantage. Quote
MJS Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He picks every single game every single week, besides the ones already played? Quote

It's about the only thing to listen to on WGR these days. Every Tuesday they go through the remaining games and he picks games. Towards December the other radio dudes pick the other games to figure the playoffs and give him the scenarios for the playoffs. He picks bills playoffs. They pick the other playoffs. billsfan89 Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago I think what is going to be key for the Bills in the early going up until the bye is to be 6-0. I know that a loss to NOLA or ATL is not a huge deal but NOLA is a team that at home you should "get fat" and pile up wins against. The Fins and Pats divisional games are always key and you have to take care of business with two home games there. ATL away is probably the one you think is possible to drop and not be a "big deal" away NFC game against an at least decent opponent. But I think the Bills if they want the one seed are going to have to go 13-4 at a minimum and possibly 14-3. I think you really are home heavy in the first 6 weeks and against opponents you "should" beat and going 6-0 is something that a team looking for their division early and the one seed are going to have to pile up the wins while you can... finn Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Fun to predict W-L but ultimately silly. So many variables are in play. You can really only talk about probabilities, and even that with a million caveats. But... it's all entertainment, right? And these talking heads need to get clicks. Quote
Bills!Win! Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago In what multiverse are we losing to the falcons? Quote

Simon doesn't get clicks for this. Listenership yes. But this is 100% done for entertainment. Quote
