Fins, Saints, Patriots. Those are some wretched teams and NE is the only one with a QB that may be an issue. But we should still win. @Atlanta, bye, @Panthers, vs Chiefs, @Fins, and vs Bucs follow. I think we need Milano back for sure by that Chiefs home game on November 2nd. That would be 7 weeks recovery. If it's known in advance he can't go, there needs to be a move for a LB and safety by the deadline. And...he is gone at the end of the year anyways. We just can't keep bringing back guy as often injured as him. I hope we start investing in bigger LB's 1 1 1 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Look maybe I'm going to quit my job tomorrow. Or maybe I'll be there on time like always Quote

Joe Marino Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Maybe Bobby Babich would just allow him to run around in coverage but not tackle anybody like our defensive secondary. 4 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Can we all predict what injury he will get in late December? Quote

Richard Noggin Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Lotta lame commentary in this thread. No one can dispute Milano's injury history. The Bills were hoping to get more out of him in the last year of his current deal. And they still might. Or they might not. But we don't need to whine about it and pretend like it's some kind of personal or organizational failure. It's the Just World Fallacy, that somehow all bad things are the fault of the person(s) who they happen to (because good things happen to good people LOL). 2 Quote

co_springs_billsfan Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Bills haven't told us much, but we'll know something by tomorrow when they either put him on IR or not. If not then the expected return should be less than 4 games, like with Big Ed last week. Quote

Milano has been in the league for 9 years now: 2017 he was a backup. 2018-2022 he started and was very productive (5 years). All Pro in 2022. 2023-present he has hit the injury wall. I'd say this fortunate kid was built for the NFL. 6 2 Quote

Other than that he's been mostly durable. Quote

I'd say this fortunate kid was built for the NFL. He actually had 49 tackles in his rookie season and started 5 games. Interestingly, it's the only season in which he played in every game. He missed 3 games in 2018, 6 games in 2020, and 2 games in 2022. Lotta soft tissue injuries over the years. Quote

I remember reading an article a few years ago about organizations players didn’t like, one that was mentioned was the Patriots. The anonymous players interviewed felt that organization showed no loyalty. I think one of the reasons players now love being in Buffalo, is they don’t kick guys to the curb. So helping players get healthy, to see if they can still contribute, is part of the culture. Yes, we have seen it before, what is the alternative? Fans always want some difference making trade, that is easier said than done. To answer your question, I think you are criticizing the organization and I think that criticism is unfounded. I'm not, though. I fully support Milano in his struggles. When healthy, he's one of the best players on the team, and I wouldn't advocate cutting or trading him even if he misses half the season. I'm merely ruing that we've seen this picture before, much like anyone noting any unfortunate pattern related to the Bills. I'm not sure how you could see that as criticism. I'm sure he, his teammates and coaches are frustrated, too. 1 Quote
