Holy crap, I'm finally coming to Buffalo! 53 years in the making

Hi all!

I am 58 years old. I grew up in central Illinois. been in LA for last 38 yrs.  In 1973, as a 5 year old, I watched with my Dad the game that OJ went over 2,000 and I was hooked.

I have been a diehard Bills fan ever since. I've been to about 40 games over the years at many different stadiums but have never actually been to Buffalo itself.

Made plans many times that always got thwarted for one reason or another. With this being that last season at the stadium, I made sure to make it happen this time!

My 19yr old son and I are coming for the Thursday night game this week!  We are sitting in sec 110 and can't wait!

This is my living room for football season. and only a little bit of it.   The Wife only allows it during the season. lol!

We have a list of places to eat that we have been looking forward to. Probably gonna skip the falls as we won't be there very long. I'll see the falls when we come back in 53 years to see the new stadium. lol

So cool to hear from fans who've never been to Buffalo. It's hard to imagine being a fan of this team if you didn't grow up there. Just so cool. 

 

I'll be there Thursday in 212 with my son. He spent his childhood in Connecticut and became a Bills fan, but he had an excuse - me. His children are growing up in Connecticut, too, and they're Bills fans.

I actually think there are many Bills fans who fall in this category. Born and raised in the Midwest, now living in Atlanta, without any ties to Buffalo. Been a fan since the mid 80’s. Been to multiple games in Buffalo. Love what the city and fans represent and love passing that tradition on to my daughter. Our family will be there for the Saints game.

If you had to guess, where do you think the Bills might rank in terms of fans not from the team's city?  I mean, I'd guess that the Packers, Steelers, and Cowboys in some order are at or near the top of the list.  Do you think the Bills are in the top ten?

I’d have to imagine that the Raiders are up there….seeing as how they’re on their fourth home city (if you count Oakland twice) in the last three weeks.

F*** John Fisher. Owner of the A's. He blocked Davis' bid to build a football only stadium on the grounds of the Oakland Coliseum saying it was A's property, then turns around and rips the A's out of Oakland.
