T.E. Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I went to a gym for awhile that had a weird synthetic, non-hardwood surface on the basketball court and ended up getting turf toe from that. It bothered me for months and was very painful. I have no idea how guys actually play sports at a professional level with it, outside of taking a ton of sketchy painkillers. 1 1 Quote
bigduke6 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 i guess those 2 extremely expensive WRs cant block for Joe huh? who could have seen this coming? Quote

Cincy is so loaded on offense, and you have to wonder how much Burrow is benefiting from that.  He threw 3 INT's. He wasn't game planned against because they game planned against Burrow. It's why back ups come in a lot and do well. But once they are the starter for a bit where there's film, they're terrible.   Joe Burrow has had 4 major injuries in the last 5 years. Yeah he has weapons but doesn't have protection and always throwing the ball under duress.  He's getting killed. 1 Quote
Tulsabillsfanz Posted September 15 Posted September 15 It really is a tough break for Burrow and the Bengals. It could happen with good or bad protection.  For whatever reason, Burrow has just been an injury prone player. Quote

I mean he went 4-3 with a 70% completion rating and 12 TDs back in 2023.  Yeah, Cincy has completely failed to build an offensive line and it’s killing Burrow. Stroud is going that route in Houston too at this rate. 1 Quote

Low Positive Posted September 15 Posted September 15 For the record, I watched the end of the Bengals-Jags game (I didn't see Tyrod's garbage time TD) and the biggest plays in that comeback were: BTJ dropped a short pass in his chest at the goal line, giving the Bengals the ball back A VERY soft DPI call on Travis Hunter that felt like a "welcome to the NFL" message from the refs Also, Browning threw 3 INTs.  People keep quoting Browning's 4-3 record in 2023. Lets break that down. Those wins were against: The Jags in a game where they lost Lawrance on the first drive The Gardner Minshew-led Colts The Nick Mullens-led Vikings in OT The Browns in a meaningless week 18 game. It just became a story because the first three wins came in a row. The losses were two against the Steelers and one against the Chiefs. BTW, every Bengals fan I know was pissed about those wins. They knew they were just losing draft slots.  4 2 Quote

If the QB is always rushed, it won't make a difference if your receivers are prime Moss and Rice. I also think they cheap out on coaching and do the bare minimum. But I'm not shedding tears for Burrow. He decided to get paid and stay.  But...Burrow does not live to play another down enough. He won't throw it away and has had injury issues since college. Him and the Bengals are married to one another. So they need to get it right. Yes, they havent invested in their OL as they should have but I agree with the latter part. Somehow I feel the injuries are also on him. There have been a few players who are injury prone for one reason or another. Quote

IMO, it was a matter of time before Burrow was injured for multiple games. I may have even mentioned that in one post or another.  Quote

Yeah, it's a small sample size, and Cleveland can get after the QB. But that's a ridiculously high rate. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 it definitely is noticeable when you watch the bengals , how the other teams D line gets in there fast.  We’re spoiled here with an excellent offensive line that protects Allen, and Josh also has great pocket awareness and gets out of there when he needs to. Buffalo Ballin Posted September 15 Posted September 15 We can safely eliminate Cincinnati Bengals from playoff picture. 3 months?? Joe Burrow should be out for the entire season. Their o-line sucks. They had the last 3 years to fix their o-line woes and the GM didn't bother. Â Tough break, Cincinnati. Good luck next season. In the mean time, this is bad for JaMaar Chase and Tee Higgins fantasy owners. 1 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Â Mike Brown kicking himself for paying Tee Higgins now that they'll have a top 10 pick and could've just reloaded with another top WR, again! Â Maybe they'll pick an OL to protect their QB, but doubt it. Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted September 15 Posted September 15 It's not too late for Cincinnati to trade us WR JaMaar Chase. He really needs to leave Cincy. Quote
