simply no idea what the checks are or why they are being made.  

For all we know, Allen's reads are designed to be conservative and he's making the correct call based on the defense (which would make sense if you look at all of the other play calling).

If Milano, Rapp and Bernard get their run fits, then this gap scheme dline defense will be able to contain the inside run game. As it is the bills are giving up rush lanes with their penetration, with no linebackers there to fill. They either get washed early or over run their fits

yea there is a lot more to it than oh the play didn't work and trust me bro it was wrong and would have worked if they just went the other way or whatever.

This defense is unsure enough of what it's seeing that the hesitancy in diagnosing Baltimores variety of mesh points has too many of them flat-footed in space.

Benford and Oliver are about the only guys out there not dancing around; make your read and attack it (except you AJ, fer chrissakes...).
