Mr. Wonderful Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Chucky lives! Dude has tremendous energy and always entertaining. I remember when he a sit-down with EJ Manuel before the draft and was ribbing him about his game sleeves. Go Bills. 1 Quote

Buffalo has definitely struggled with mobile QBs. Mahomes always seems to escape, same with lamar. Designed runs less so, but once its broken down it can get messy. Their run game is always going to get them ahead of the sticks in those 2nd and 4, 3rd and 1's that are just really difficult to stop. Explosive pass game. Quote

I feel like the Bills have actually handled Lamar mostly well. They have played the Ravens 5 times since 2019 (Lamar's first MVP season). In 2019 when Lamar was burning through the league on his MVP year the Bills held the Ravens to a somewhat modest 24 points. Had Josh been in his 2020 and beyond form a win would have been possible but the Bills were only able to score 17 points. 2020 playoffs that game was the insane wind game along with Lamar getting hurt in game. The Ravens only scored 3 points. 2022 a regular season matchup the Bills held the Ravens to 20 points in a 23-20 win. 2024 regular season Bills got ***** up by the Ravens and got 35 points hung on them. 2024 playoffs Ravens hung 25 on the Bills, they moved the ball consistently but they also turned the ball over and missed in key moments. I think 3 out of 5 of those games the Bills have handled Lamar well for the most part. Quote
NoSaint Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I think the ravens are an easy favorite on paper, but I think this matchup is one that shows that on paper isn’t always the key metric. fingers crossed a healthy Bernard, Milano, Oliver, bosa, Rousseau can really impact Lamar. Quote

They only had 273 yards, but managed 20 first downs and actually had greater time of possession. Couple of big turnovers that buffalo turned into points. Last drive before the half was huge - stretch the lead to 11 but also leaving 0 time for the Ravens. Would've liked a better 3rd quarter, and to finish that 4th quarter drive after the Andrews fumble with a score instead of a FG. I think baltimore is a team where you have to have some misdirection plays prepared for in some of those gotta have it situations. The trick play disaster last season shouldn't preclude you from doing this. I'd like to see some of those jet motion plays especially in the red zone - see how they follow. Quote

nosejob Posted September 5 Posted September 5 He was right IMO about needing to play man. We need our 3 LBs on the field. Henry will run over TJ in the nickel and it will also allow Riccard and/ or OL to get to the 2nd level. Play 4-3 and send a LB on every play. Quote

Logic Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Gruden is a lunatic. It's clear that football is and has always been his whole life. His passion for the game just oozes out. It's a shame he seems to a creep behind the scenes, because he was one of the most relatable, entertaining commentators in the game. Alas... Quote
