Dudes been carrying Beane and McD on his shoulders for years Another simplistic take. So nothing the Bills do right on defense is because of the defense, it's all Josh Allen? Amazing the impact he has. 2 Quote

eee1776 Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Is George Wilson available? Anyway Folks keep saying to mentor the young players on Defense. Isn't that why we have coaches? 1 1 Quote

HomeskillitMoorman Posted August 27 Posted August 27 3 minutes ago, PromoTheRobot said: Very simplistic take. How many of those seasons were we forced to bring in players off the couch due to injury? You also ignore all the dropped passes, bad penalties and bad spots by officials that also contributed to our lack of success on offense. The defense has let us down in the playoffs whether we've been relatively healthy or not, that's really just a tired excuse. We have not had a lack of success on offense in the playoffs, that's the whole point. The offense has done it's part and more, the defense hasn't and has wasted great offensive performances from our elite QB. What we've seen is not normal at all. Elite QB's don't historically consistently lose big playoff games that they play great in. This is a unique problem that we have had because we have had a historically bad defense in games where it matters most. Quote

Our offense had plenty of moments when they fell short. 4 minutes ago, HomeskillitMoorman said: What we've seen is not normal at all. You literally glossed over the last and most important part of the comment about the elite Qb's when I said "games that they have played great in". Quote

McDermott wants the guy who reads and reacts correctly on every play. If he's a half-step late getting to where he needs to be, McDermott will live with it. Yup, he chooses his scheme over playmakers. And you wonder why we never sniff a SB. Quote
