I have to say, with the addition of Chris Tabor as Special Teams Coordinator and the additions of Sam Franklin,  Matt Prater, and punter Cam Johnston, I'm feeling better about our special teams than I have in a long time.

I think it's yet to be seen. I thought ST's looked pretty bad Game 1, and yesterday they looked a lot better. Hopefully this guy can at least count how many men are on the field.

I swear I only saw 10 guys on the field for the Jets fg yesterday.

If he keeps playing like this, he’s going to keep a roster spot.  I’m hoping we can make a trade or two before Hairston, Hoecht and Ohinjobi return.  Too many players- not enough roster spots.

Bass included.

Maybe because Franklin wasn’t even in Carolina when McBeane were there?

yes, so? go ***** players from winning organizations. clearly carolina cant do it. bad scouts = bad players = bad record.
beane picks up scrap heap bums from a terrible organization on the cheap then wonders why it doesnt work out.. its wild.

The snap counts would reinforce that observation.  We had 307 snap counts for 28 plays, missing one guy.

The Bills were 3-10-1 in 1970 with OJ on the roster. Was he not an attractive addition for some team? Judge the player, not the jersey he used to wear.

Franklin made 3 tackles on kick off returns, which is quite impressive.  Franklin and Strong have been the gunners, and doing a great job.

That’s because the Bills had the worst coach in team history- which says a lot.  He chose to use OJ a decoy and traded away some of our best players

I know that, but that’s not the point. There are good players on bad teams. Al Davis fell in love with guys who won Super Bowls and overpaid, the opposite. The win/loss record does not determine if a guy can play in the NFL.

yall boys can roll your eyes all ya want. its not some mythical secret beane and his free agents dont really work out all that well. Kelvin benjamin being the easiest to pin... then some forgettable DT's who were so poor I cant even remember their names... gimme a break, go sign players from real organizations.

It’s takes like this that make me thankful for the ignore function. I used to kind of do a “manual ignore”, but the technology exists for a reason. Have a nice life.

Ty Johnson was with the Jets before they cut him.  Is he a scrap heap bum or did the Jets, because they are a terrible organization, not know what they had?

Same question for McGovern (Dallas), Poyer (Browns), etc.

You get the point.

I was very, very close to citing Bullough.  I'm young enough to not remember Harvey Johnson.  Wasn't that a chain of motels and diners or something?
