I think he has everything McD and staff want in that 53rd man Special Teamer. Any other year and I'd say he's a lock to make the roster just for kick coverage.

Ciarlo's problem is that Shavers has managed to shine and get himself a roster spot. But now McBeane's problem is that Shavers hasnt been doing much on special teams.

Tricky problem to have. I'll definitely be watching how it all plays out this week.

This kid is way better than Buffalo Joe. Infact Buffalo Joe sucks and should be cut replace on the practice Squad. 35 has out played all of the backup Linebackers except for 42. With Shavers, 42, and 35 the special teams unit are going to be good, plus they all can play if needed. Buffalo Joe needs to go!!!

Agreed.  We  know what we get with Andreeson...Time to find a better player as a critical backup as Milano and Bernard are injury prone

Easy PS stash for me. I could be naive but it seems unlikely he’d get scooped up, and then next year with a year under his belt you can have him compete for a depth role. With Shavers showing out and the uncertainty at CB and OL it’s hard for me to justify keeping 6 LB

Because he has a chip on his shoulder.

Nah, he will get picked up. He plays as if his hair is on fire. A, “prove that I belong” mentality. Unfortunately, veterans lose this desire after a few years.

I was really pulling for the Bills to sign or even draft Dolac honestly. Oh well...

I could see him as the 53rd guy.  I would cut Codrington, keep Cairlo.  I like his instincts in coverage.  Moves like a safety.  Much more in the style of Benard and Milano than any other linebacker on the roster.  I think he is instantly a core special teamer, and after a few weeks in the system the best reserve coverage linebaker.

Last I knew most military academy grads are pretty smart guys as well, not a bad thing in the overall evaluation.  I think if you cut Codrington tho, you have to keep Hamler on the active roster.

I like this kid a lot he’s got balls, desire and he’s a hitter Might be a good special teamer and backup guy lb, maybe safety in a pinch.  He’s athletic.

You're part of a large group that hoped for this.

Rightly or wrongly, this is a topic which will reoccur regularly... a sore point that'll never go away unless Kaden Prather becomes a player for the Bills.

I think both Ciarlo and Shenault make it over Shavers for teams. Shavers makes 53 if we decide to keep six WR which isn't a guarantee at this stage. Everyone is overlooking teams imo.

FWIW, Shenault made a few epic breakdowns in kickoff coverage yesterday.

As fearless as he is as a returner, he seems fearful as a coverage guy.

Not opposed to Hamler over Moore.

A few as in three? I definitely missed that.

Yeah, the three big returns all involved Shenault failing his assignment in some way iirc.

Ciarlo looks like he can be a very good player. Would like to somehow keep this kid.  Give him time to get better on the PS.  Kid looks a bit raw still, but looks to have what it takes to play in this league.

I don’t get the hate for Andreessen though. Dude has instinct, good tackler. Thought last night he looked very good. Feel he can play well within this system when there are actual game plans.

I couldn't agree more.

I think it has to do with the stain left by the Bears game... a stain on the entire roster from top to bottom... not just Buffalo Joe.

I have a feeling he's gonna be a good pro linebacker.

He was available a week into camp. He’s made some nice plays but he’s isn’t a priority claim for any team. PS for sure
