One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's Game

A lot of talking points are going around after last night's game. But the one thing that no one is talking about is how irresponsible it is for the NFL to let fans view preseason games. Yes, it's live football. But it's not football intended for fan consumption. Fans don't know how to process what they are seeing. Look at the results of last night's game. The NFL has worked this unassuming message board into an absolute friendzy. We have panic posting being labeled as, "I'm not panicking." We're fantasizing about 2024 draft pics being cut. And over in Chicago? My goodness, what a fever they've been whipped into over in the windy city after Caleb Williams stepped up into that beautiful pocket play after play while Landon Jackson tried his best to not move like a figurine on a slot-hockey machine, and Caleb floated perfect grapefruit after perfect grapefruit over the head of UDFA Walk-On Player Joe Andreesen. It's unfair and downright cruel to those fans to dangle that carrot in front of their eyes. And all because the NFL had to flip on a few cameras and Fox Sports was like, "yeah, we'll show your little football practice because no one is watching baseball anymore." The NFL has gone too far. They say they care about the fans but it's things like this that show they don't give a damn about us. Because if the NFL truly cared about its fans, they wouldn't expose us to preseason football and then leave us on our own to interpret it. Shame on you, NFL. Televising preseason football is irresponsible.

Hey leave baseball out of this.  Plenty of people are watching it and the next 35 days in the run to the end of the season is going to be awesome.  There are as many or more great young players in mlb than the nfl.   There was only one baseball game on last night and it too was pretty great with the mariners and mets playing in williamsport.

 

if you are not watching mlb you are missing out.

The Yankees sweeping the Cards was nice. I don't think they are catching the Blue Jays, but they are getting some separation in the WC race. Let's Go Yankees.

their season is probably going to come down to what happens with the four games vs Boston this weekend and then ultimately how well they play against the orioles.  Baltimore might decide the east.  NY has 7 left with Boston and 7 left with Baltimore.  

 

They also have 7 left with the white sox and 3 vs washington.  If they can get 3 of 4 vs Boston anything is possible for this season.

Well, the Bills have lost two "important" games these past 2 weeks. The Bills 2025 season is officially over. So, it's either baseball (Yankees of course) or talk Sabres hockey

All I know is Bluey and Super Simple Songs and Lingokids and Booba and, the absolute worst of them all... Steve and Maggie. Dang youse, scuba Steve.

It would help if the announcers and video crew would put up some graphics between plays of who the hell is playing.

I hate having to try to see jersey numbers and nameplates (especially on the OL and DL) as to who is on the field.

I would love that......even in the regular season, it is not always easy to see what DL they are rotating in.   They could use colors to show who is new for that play.

Orioles are playing decent now so not the pushover they were in the first part of the season when they imploded

I watched the game yesterday with as much enthusiasm as I would have for professional bowling.  I use the term watched loosely. The outcome tells me nothing about how things will go starting in 3 weeks.
