I have absolutely no reason to doubt your reasoning. I was just reflecting on how many times the forum was scratching its collective head over Elam's continued sitting on game days, until the team finally decided to part ways with him. Quote

One a first round pick with a clear path to start, the other a day 3 selection learning multiple roles. 1 Quote

Mcdermott really wants him to be nickel. Imo he is ascending to becoming one of the Bills best 5 dbs. With Rapp, and Bishop out he def is. Elam is actually a simple answer. Benford is just better. From practice number 1 as rookies to now. Without drafting Benford Elam is likley an average high variance player. Untimely penalties, blown assignments but with his fair share of picks. 1 Quote
wjag Posted August 13 Posted August 13 So the continued absence of Tyler Bass is beginning to get concerning. "Pelvic soreness" seems to me a masking of a much more serious injury. Shavers not practicing is too bad. Moore quietly and quickly working his way to a job as grocery bagger at Wegmans. Quote

I would imagine Beane will bring in a kicker especially when cuts around the league happen if this injury with Bass is more serious then what is being reported. 1 Quote

As far as the team is concerned, I don't think it is a huge deal. Caden Davis looks like a kicker with good upside. When teams need to replace a kicker during the season, most always seem to find a decent replacement. There are always good kickers out there looking for work. Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 (edited) McDermott said that the performances today may impact how much players may play on Sunday, on a case by case basis, where others will need reps no matter what. “Bass moving in the right direction. Taking it one step at a time. Trying to be smart. Avoid setback.” ”Curtis Samuel is important, missed all of camp. Urgency is there at this point. Availability important, references special teams if you aren’t a starter.” On Sanders and Walker: “See the ability, have to develop techniques and become consistent.” Interesting McDermott calls Palmer “Joshua” and Allen “Josh” Edited August 15 by EmotionallyUnstable 1 Quote

Brand J Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I don’t think I’ve heard one question about SVPG’s injury. He hasn’t practiced once, even in minicamp if I remember correctly. What’s going on with his calf? Quote

Doc Brown Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Good to have at least three of our projected starting five out there (Coleman, Moore, Palmer). Quote
Brand J Posted August 15 Posted August 15 As for the joint practice, sounds like a big day for Elijah Moore. 1 Quote
