These charts really dont mean a lot but I am surprised that White is still behind Trubisky. Everything I have heard is White is outplaying him. Not that it really matters. We get down to either one of those QBs, we are in trouble.

Shows the priority of McD and Beane. Worst starting WR corps and depth but hey we’ve got B level talent everywhere on the D line

I’m loving the draft already. Per joe B on ny times

Rd 1 pick - definitely not starting, even if not injured. Prob only plays if tre or cb hurt

rd 2 -second line rotation. Makes an impact

rd 3 - I’ve heard nothing about. Sounds like a Trent Murphy/AJE clone. Maybe doesn’t even dress

rd 4 - not gonna dress if everyone healthy

rd 5 - backup Swiss army db

rd 6 - limited snaps / niche blocking TE

color me IMPRESSED McBEANE!

3-4 of these dudes need to develop over the course of the season and have an impact or we’re not sniffing Mahommes and the bowl

Somewhat surprised Hamlin wasn’t listed as the starter at least on the first depth chart, usually they give deference to the vet.  Bishop must really have put on a show this offseason.

Hopefully. But we know in reality it was an incredibly low bar to get over.

Sometimes I wonder how much of these early depth charts are real and how much is messaging.  Maybe coaches bump a guy up higher than he belongs to show him that he's noticed and appreciated.  Maybe sometimes they bump a guy down to send the message that he needs to put forth more effort and/or better learn the playbook.

I’m rather sure these players know exactly what the coaches are thinking of them. There is not much beating around the bush with value and projections. Your thoughts might be true as a way to send a message, but it is not the primary way. They are directly spoken with about what they’re doing well, what they need to do better, more of, etc.

What is Shavers doing at #2 at one of the WR?  He is such a loser.

@MWK

I must have really offended you.

Depth Charts have meaning...it really depends on how deep is your love of the Bills...

Trubisky is going to be the #2 Quarterback. He was much the better when we actually saw them play in a real NFL game in week 18 and he is tight with Josh.

Wasn't Forrest supposed to be a potential starter?

No. Some fans got really carried away with that.....

Also a little surprised to see Zach Davidson so low on the chart.

Where did you expect him to be?  He’s not overtaking Kincaid or Knox, and they just drafted the best blocking TE in football in Hawes.

TE#4 at worst. By all accounts he’s gotten more first team reps with Knox out and has been making plays (again) this camp. Didn’t expect to see Latu’s name as 3rd string ahead of Davidson.

And I hope Hawes is the best blocking TE in the entire NFL, but it’s a bit too early to give him that title.

In HS, the coach posted the depth chart and I was listed as the 3rd safety.

Turns out I just sucked

Were you a star at band camp instead?
