Oh god, can you imagine the complaining people would’ve done around here during that time? Can’t pay them both, Bruce is a diva….so many opportunities missed!!

Last year I heard that there would be many Dallas players who “would not miss” Parsons in the locker room. With all of the other contracts they had to do at the time I thought he was the most likely trade candidate. Jerry is unpredictable, but I still think he gets traded this offseason or tagged and traded next.

For sure, but I don’t see how it’s financially feasible at this point. If he gets traded next offseason we probably could pull it off. I also don’t think he’s a culture fit here.

By talking to friends that have a very good pulse on Dallas. It does seem that this trade could happen. 
 

has to do with the following according to them. 

1. his podcast - Jerry doesn’t like it 

2. Perception from them he wears down late in season (not a cowgirl watcher) so cannot validate 

3.  Massive liability against the run - according to them. 

 

I will say 1 and 3 are pretty accurate, they don't like his podcast and he is definitely a liability in the run game.  He the next Derrick Thomas, not the next Bruch Smith.  

 

Not sure about 2 either.  That being said, he has great value as being an elite pass rusher even with being a liability in the run game.  So if Dallas truly entertains a trade offer here, they could get an offer to tempting to refuse while also not having to pay him what he will command salary wise.  

 

Still think its a low probability he gets traded, but there is enough here that I think teams will call and at least put Jones at a decision point and make this interesting to say the least.  The biggest issue is the teams with the cap room cant afford to give up the draft assets as teams still rebuilding, and the teams where he puts them over the top have cap issues and ramifications to figure out while also losing picks that are a key part of their future without a lot of cap space to make moves.  So its not going to be a lot of teams who can lineup here either given the cost to acquire and cost to pay.  Will one of them offer enough to tempt Jerry is gonna be the question.

 

NOTE:  Jerry also has an ego to manage here - there is a big difference in Jerry making the decision to trade someone and the perception that someone else forced his hand and took control by demanding the trade.  Will Jerry be more or less keen on trading him now that Parsons made a big public demand and statement about it?  I am not so sure that "helped" his cause.

Everything is feasible. I hope Beane is making the calls.

there is a TOTAL of ONE player that I would not include in a package for Parsons. Only ONE - Josh Allen.

Parsons had locker room issues at Penn State too. Something to keep in mind.

One year deal at 30. Injury History and no major drop off with the depth currently at LBer. He would be my first one I would include in any package as his name and history inflates his value at this point.

Pretty sure if he’s back to form it would be a major drop off. Our depth at LB is trash.

And it's Jerry Jones. He overpaid Dak due to waiting. Now he's going to have to overpay Parsons who can already command a huge number. I agree it will be $40+, if for no other reason than Jerry will botch it to that level.

The word was Jerry was in love with Kincaid and pissed when Beane traded ahead of them to take him.

 

two 1st round picks and Kincaid might possibly get the wheels turning.

 

Assuming of course that Dallas is serious about moving Parsons, only two players have ever started their careers with 4 seasons of 12+ sacks, Parsons and Reggie White.

 

Parsons is 26yrs old… it’s insanity for Jerry to trade him.

Remind me again how much pressure did the defense get on Mahomes in the playoffs. What was the Points given up and what was KC playoff AVG scoring outside of the Bills game.
