I just don't us being able to afford his contract. Would be pretty cool but how?

Apparently the hold up is this.

jerry and Micah had a handshake deal for 5 for 202 million.  So he would be under contract for the next 6 seasons.

Micah's agent refused the deal and they want a four year deal not five.

Jerry hated the agent and will not negotiate with him now.   The agent has told Micah no playing in any games until he gets the extension.   So Micah has a “back” injury to try and find a way around being fined game checks.  Apparently this has set Jerry or Stephen jones off today so it sounds like both sides are calling each other bluffs.

i want it to be known I hate al these people and can’t wait til this not talked about anymore.

Was talking to a friend the other day who's a Dallas fan. Sounds like Parsons whines a lot and is generally not well liked, even before the contract issue. I think his exact words were "He never shuts his ####### mouth."

Ed Oliver, Curtis Samuel, 2026 First Rd, 2026 Third Rd, 2027 First Rd and a 2028 2nd Rd that becomes a 1st with Superbowl appareance in 2025 or 2026 seasons.  for Micah Parson and a 2026 4th Rd pick, 2027 Third rd pick

The idea would be to add parsons to the line along with Oliver wouldn’t it?  Why would you move Oliver in this type of deal?

they will never be involved with this but it would have to be just picks only.

Because they might want more than rotational depth.

This being announced means they have a deal they would take but want to see if anyone would beat it.  Or the team that lost wants him to go to a different team imo.

This is why an owner shouldn't be the GM too.  A GM would make it work with that agent because he could lose his job.

Its steep but that means its realistic.  Im saying this the first time ever -- Josh isnt getting any younger, we're in as good of shape as ever to go all-in.  I still believe Josh brings us multiple Lombardi's, but that first one is the most pesky.

Get that experience of winning for him and the rest of the roster & coaching staff, and i truly believe it becomes contagious to all stepping in the locker room afterwards.... even if theyre 3rd rd picks bc we got Parsons!!!

Unload $$, and gotta give something to get it.  Which is going to give us a better chance in playoffs? Micah or 'Mr. September"?  Im fine with it, let them feel like they got their win too.  Regular season W's still mean more to JJ as Playoffs anyways

Probably true, but you should take into account that the organization is pure chaos and at the mercy of its insane owner. I suspect to someone whose favorite hobby is chess, he is uncomfortable with the lack of actual predictable structure.

Also LAC or DENVER landing him would be a giant Win in my book.  I get it, its in the AFC, but I think some extra heat in that division helps us more than it hampers us.

Put it this way, if they can help push KC out of the #1 spot and give us a buy, I'll gladly play one of those teams + Parsons in the 2nd round if it means Chiefs @ Home + Bye Week

While I don't think the Bills will ultimately be the ones who pull this deal off (I'm guessing GB or LAR), I will say this...

Elite, potentially generational pass rusher is the ONE thing Beane seems like he'd be willing to spend major draft capital and money on.

I absolutely buy that the Bills are doing their due diligence on this one, and it wouldn't surprise me if they've made an offer.

THE number one thing that would help the Bills' championship pursuits THE MOST over the next five years would be a Parsons level edge rusher. I just hope Beane doesn't look at the money spent on Rousseau and Bosa and the cap situation overall and let it scare him off. He can make it work if he wants.

Again I say: No move would be more impactful than adding a Micah Parsons. It's hard to quantify how enormous it would be and how much it would improve the Buffalo Bills.

I’d go to 3 1sts and Samuel if I’m Beane.  Add in Epenesa if they want a pass rusher back too.

If we could have a core DL of Parsons, Rousseau, Hoecht, Oliver, Sanders and Walker for Josh Allen’s prime window.. I don’t care about those picks at all.

Confident we could address any other positions we need to add to on Day 2 and Day 3 of the upcoming drafts.

Add in Joey Bosa and Matt Milano in the Front 7 for this year and (if) they stay healthy… could be absolutely dominant.

I agree with 100% of this.

Would be the second best player on the team immediately off the bus, and the one thing we’ve lacked all of the McD era (with exception to Von’s start here — but even that isn’t Parsons). You make this work if even remotely possibly to pry him free.

General question to the board::::  Complete theoretical thought experiment...... its unlikely to the highest degree but (ignore the cap stuff for a sec)

In a play 4 player are you giving up a combination of Shakir +  [Oliver or Rousseau or Bernard] to land Parsons?

Are any, some or none of those options you'd consider??

Would I do this trade? Yes. Per Greg Tompsett we would have to trade Curtis Samuel and AJ Epenesa plus restructure Dion Dawkins and Dawson Knox, then we would have to pay him around 42M a year. I just don't know that Beane would be willing to put us in that position financially. I would like to make this trade but we're not flush with the cap space to do it.

Yes, but I’d rather make the deal heavier on draft picks.

Adding Parsons to the existing DL core would be the hope for me.

Bernard would be hard to move because we don’t have much behind him.

Shakir would be the piece I’d move, and platoon Samuel & Moore, with Keon sliding down to big slot at times.  Probably not popular, but I’d do it.

Can we send Kindcaid instead of Shakir? I know Cowboys superfan Skip Bayless was big mad that the Bills drafted him ahead of the Cowboys.

I know it ain’t happening, but the best way to support the defensive backfield is a strong pass rush.

If you really want to win the Super Bowl, you make this trade. 2 firsts and Epenesa and another player. Or the firsts and Oliver.

Contract is a problem, especially because he won’t want to sign a short term deal. He will want to break the bank. Other teams make it work, will just take a lot of upfront cash to players.
