Now that I can calm down about Spencer Brown's back, maybe we can take a break from training camp news and share a little about ourselves

My hobby is fine woodworking.  I grew up watching Norm on the New Yankee Workshop and just as he did over time I've gotten to be a solidly above average woodworker. I moslty make pieces of furniture and the occasional small box. I have also done some turning on the lathe as well. My favorite woodworker is Garrett Hack but I've found inspiration in many others.

What is your favorite hobby?

Primarily, I collect typewriters. Buy them, sell them, repair them, and I keep the cool ones. I don’t have one in my collection that isn’t in complete working order.

I also hike, run, do photography, and enjoy cooking.

Im also a weather weirdo and am a trained NOAA SKYWARN severe storm spotter.

My children, family as a whole but the children’s pursuits, interests and lives are truly my biggest hobby. Want nothing but them to have as much fun, success and joy as they can in life.

after that?

Budgeting and keeping track of the finances my wife chooses to spend.
It’s honestly a full time job outside of running a business.

It's fascinating to listen to those during storms. During the WNC flooding the amount of short wave/Ham work being done was incredible.

Hiking/trail running in the mountains with my husky is top of the list.

Also: eating at new restaurants with unfamiliar cuisines (including some very strange foods), meditating, reading (history, science, Buddhism, historical novels), traveling when I have the chance, writing, and reverse planking, which some people derogatorily refer to as sleeping.

Oh yeah, some of those guys are amazing. Never got into the ham radio circuit myself.

That's quite an accomplishment!

I've run 3, all slower than a three-legged possum with asthma, but I'm hoping to win my age group someday.  My family tends to be long-lived so I'm hoping to outlive the competition and be the only finisher in my age group.
