How is this guy even still floating around. He wasn’t even that good before his devastating injury, and he has been solidly below average ever since.

Wild how backup qb isn’t usually a guy that’s going to light it up but instead a vet with enough playing time and good habits that he can walk on the field without nearly enough preparation and simply try not to tank everyone else

and teddy is that

Ya I don't get it either. My only guess is a lot of people just watch him play against the Bills and he tends to struggle those games lol.

Because I really don't get how you can watch a large sample size from Tua and come away thinking the guy sucks .

high end weapons plus qb friendly system plus fair weather

I think he can have a good game no doubt but he scares me somewhere between Brock Purdy and Kirk cousins.

if healthy he’s a viable nfl starter but probably QB8(?) in the afc and often not healthy?

I strongly disagree with the friendly QB system statement. It is very complexed with a lot of motion and Tua has even stated that. (And even many dolphin reporters rip on Mcdaniel for overcomplicating it at times)

Here is a stat that backs up Tua's importance: Miami since 2022 has averaged 27 ppg with Tua. Without him? 13 PPG

The average team since 2022 with their starting QB scores 24 PPG. With the backup? 19.5 PPG

Pretty staggering numbers with vs without Tua relative to the rest of the league, which goes to show his importance to his team

They've used like 4 different back ups. None of them can come close to remotely having success in that offence.

To Put it this way: Our backup could be Mike white this year. Miami cut him lol

So is Trubisky. Personally, I'd rather have my backup be a former high pick starter than some "high upside" 5th rounder.

Josh hasnt missed a game since 2018. We are not wasting time developing a guy.

yea- I get both sides of the coin. Do you really want some guy that’s never played trying to showcase his arm talent, or better off with someone who just won’t lose it on their own but won’t win it on their own either?

I know we can only discuss how awesome every other team is doing in camp in this thread, but take a few minutes out of your day to take a glimpse at Jets camp:

https://www.si.com/nfl/justin-fields-brutal-passing-struggles-continue-at-jets-training-camp

Fields is always talked about as this guy thats going to breakout as soon as he gets the right pieces around him. His last season in Chicago, he had DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet and he had 16Tds in 13 Starts with a 61% completion percentage. Tyson Bagent, some D2 rookie kid, had similar numbers in 4 starts.

Fields has all the talent in the world, but the game just hasnt clicked for him.

Apparently Mack Hollins is having a bad training camp and a lot of Pats fans don't want him to make the team.

Hollins is an ST Ace who has some WR upside, not sure why Pats fans thought he was anything more than a role player? I would take him back on a cheap deal in Buffalo in a heartbeat to assist with Special Teams and be the WR5. But that's all he is. The Pats due to their cap situation overpaid a good role player that's what the Bills did with Tyler Metakavich and several others when Josh was still on his rookie deal...

Have the Ravens had any real camp injuries?

Pretty much every team has bumps and bruises...

The Ravens are a physical team. Some would say a Harbaugh dirty team.

our linemen - both sides of the trenches, are gonna have to ready to go toe to toe with these thugs!

Now I get why Mack went to the patriots. Sabotage!

They were dirty as hell in the AFCCG two years ago.

Keenan was an acquisition for Caleb.
