He was okay at times in Chicago especially in his last year. They just had the 1st pick so of course they’d look at QB. He was okay in Pittsburgh as well. He’s not Josh Allen but he’s not Anthony Richardson either. Hes 26 years old. Over the last 2 years, he is 9-10 (on not great teams) with 30 TDs and 15 turnovers. Again, he could be an average to low end starter. This was his chance because he was going to have the job without a real threat behind him (at least for this year).

I'm with you.  He has gotten a bit of a raw deal. I'm rooting for him.

Jets fans have every right to think their team is cursed.  Just insane at this point.

Maybe a hot take, but I think the Jets would be tougher to beat if they trade for Kirk Cousins.

I think the Jets will be pretty good with Justin Fields at QB. Hope he's OK. Was looking forward to a good season battle with them and the Pats who will also be good.

It would put them in contention for the #1 pick in 2026 and give them an opportunity to take Arch Manning.

Good point. Not like they were going to do much this year

I feel like Aaron Glenn will have them playing hard all year and with Tyrod and that defense I could see them still managing 6 wins which should be enough to stay out of #1 contention

I stated at the time he was going to be better than Trevor Lawrence.  Lawrence has been middling some very hood play and some terrible play/injuries but got massive contract extension.

Fields had terrible HC and little skill people around him in Chicago.

Now he is with the Jets. Some guys just dont get the best chances for success.

Yikes. Bringing out the cart is very bad news. Hope he’s okay.

Not necessarily.

In training camps a lot of times it's standard for leg injuries as the medical facility is often a bit of a distance from the practice field.

They had the 1st pick twice, and the first time they punted on QB to get more weapons to help Fields succeed. He was also the starter on a season where they were bad enough to get the 1st overall pick.

I’m sorry he got hurt and I wish him the best, but he’s had plenty of chances. Russ was a vet minimum guy who got hurt early and basically gave him the starting job in Pitt. He had two different staffs and like 3 or 4 OCs in Chicago.

I have always said, the path for Fields’ relative success in the NFL was to hire Greg Roman as their OC and run the ball to 3500 total yards with like 800 rushing and 25 total TDs. He needs an OC who is going to get creative on the ground because he’s never going to captain a competent passing offense. He’s closer to Tyrod Taylor ceiling than anything else.

Oh sure, poor James Cook had turf toe and nobody even cared...

It's no wonder he wants out of town.

Talk about a team that doesn't have any luck whatsoever.  If they didn't have their SB3 win, they'd be the most unlucky franchise in league history.  Hope he's ok

I think there is another team in New York that has had its share of bad luck….

or they trade for Mike White
