No big man in the middle for the "draught" team!

Gotta be Dareus then. And prime Dareus (that 1 season) was pretty good before he wasnt.

His first 4 years in the league was awesome, shame what happened to the guy.

He was the only Bills draft pick that I jumped for joy after we selected.  I've been pumped several times but he made me as happy as a little school girl.

I thought he was the next Warren Sapp.

Offense

Qb. Fitz, Bledsoe, Orton

Rb, Lynch, Jackson, Spiller

WR Evans, Johnson, Price, Woods, Watkins

TE Chandler, Royal

OT Peters, Glenn, Jennings

OG Incognito, Levitre,

C Wood

Defense

Edge Williams, Schobel, Kelsay

DT Adams, Dareus,

LB Cowart, Fletcher, Spikes

CB Clements, Winfield, Mcgee

S Byrd, Whitner, Wilson

I think Allen is such a difference at Qb.  The current roster has a better Oline and think are close everywhere else.

Nice job with this roster.

I think the thing that would put the current team over the top beyond Allen... who is the trump card... would actually be McDermott.  He's always wreaked havoc on bad QBs, and no one during the bills draught team is particularly good.  Like is it Fitz or Bledsoe? Turnover central.  Tyrod?  Even at his best he was still manipulated well by good defenses and pressure schemes.

He went out like a clown so folks forget, but our run defense was sooooo bad in 2010 and he IMMEDIATELY fixed it in 2011.

Silly argument. Both get run off the field by a team of little Mike Ditka's, ya dig?

What's kind of stunning about this is that if we take our very best players from a 17-year stretch of time, we still don't end up with a Super Bowl roster.

That’s a pretty good team talent wise, except for QB.  I think McDermott coaches that team to the second round.

The Special Teams unit was extremely productive in 2004 as well.  Iirc we had an unusually high number of special teams turnovers and TDs.

Parrish/ McGee/ Moorman/ Lindell (?)

It’s all about the QB.

I just looked his numbers up.  He played 8 years with the Bills.  1997-2004.  Only played 1 game his rookie season.  But from 98-04 he was really good.  He just got better as his career went along.  It was too bad that we let him go as a free agent.  He was good for several years with the Vikings also.  Played 14 years total in the NFL from 1997-2010.  That is a hell of a career..

I think, if I remember correctly, Donohoe said it was either Schobel or Williams....they weren't going to re-sign both.  Obviously went with Schobel.

I don't remember what our salary cap space was but I don't remember it being that tight where we couldn't sign both.  Not sure why it had to be either or.

It didnt need to be either, Donahoe was just a jackass. The Vikings signed him for less than a $1M difference of our offer (I think it was like a $250k difference). Tom just wouldnt budge. Huge mistake.

Tyrod would be ineligible since he was the one that ended the draught.

I think people on here are kinda sleeping on Drew Bledsoe. Guy had his weaknesses for sure, but if you put him on the all-draught team with a strong O-line throwing to those weapons he'd be great.
