He has only failed because of personal issues. Everybody agrees his physical talent is that of a #1 WR, he’s unquestionably more physically talented than anybody on our roster at WR. So if he suddenly saw the light and this isn’t just offseason BS to get signed, we would be complete fools to not bring him back. More likely than not, it’s not 100% accurate from the Bills perceptive. Let’s see if somebody tries to sign him. Edited 11 hours ago by Mikie2times Quote

There were no reports or even whispers about that. Of course we don't hear everything. But I think it is accurate he started on the bottom of the roster and was getting more and more reps. Quote

But I find it suspect that he’s still unsigned, including by the Bills, if he’s 100% healthy and Buffalos perception of him is all roses. This is an exceptionally talented player. His services would be in high demand if healthy and viewed as being a more committed player. At the very least we got the closest look and he would be back on the roster. But he’s not, nor is he on anybody else’s roster. Edited 8 hours ago by Mikie2times Quote

If you just mean the size/speed combo Football talent? Disagree. 1 Quote

Yeah a lot has been overstated on Claypool’s talent. He looks the part with very good size, strength and speed. That’s what got him drafted. But he was never viewed as an elite “receiving” talent. He was quite raw in college. At this level, looking the part isn’t enough to be consistently productive. Combine that with his mental issues, and now this latest injury, he is probably done in the NFL. Guys don’t get unlimited chances, which is why it’s important not to waste the few you do get being a knucklehead. Because if you do eventually get your head on straight and get an unlucky injury, you may never get another chance. 1 Quote

Remember the season ender in 2023 where Rapp intercepted Tua because Claypool ran completely the wrong route. I said when he came out he is a big fast guy who runs well in straight lines and is a weapon after the catch. But his releases were terrible, his cuts sloppy, his overall route running below par and his hands aren't brilliant either. I thought someone might try and convert him into a receiving tight end / H-Back at some point. Quote

muppy Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago I have been pounding the drum for the Bills to roster a player from Notre Dame. I loved this guy out of college. Now I read this and I think DANG sometimes life does suck. The pieces seemed to be falling into place e and then an in jury occurs and plans derailed. BLEEEEP DANG! I wonder What ihis health status is now I'll keep watch. I'm rooting for him. I still want a Domer on the bills for selfish reasons just sayin' 🙂 Come on now! Just ONE Domer! lol Quote
CSBill Posted 3 minutes ago Posted 3 minutes ago I totally forgot that Chase Claypool was even on the team last year. Well, here's hoping he can come back. Quote
