I grew up watching that show in the 70’s on Ch. 29.  If you are from Buffalo, you know Ch. 29.

You gotta love a station using Eleventh Earl Of Mar for bumper music.

For Lamar, in his most important game up to that point of the season, his interception and fumble were critical failures.  He has done this in other big games in the past. Nothing he says will change that narrative or history.  A win in a regular season game will certainly not wipe the slate clean.

You could give this moron five years to spell “vengeance” and he’d never get past “V.”

Eff him.

……so you don’t need smarts to win an MVP?

Not when you have an Offense that is tailor made for him, that also protects him from his limitations in that area, and a Media Machine that is designed to prop him up when he succeeds, and deflects blame from him when he fails.

Josh Allen should have won MVP two years ago as well......maybe if the Media treated him the way it treats Jackson he would have won it.

I remember we hosted the Titans on SNF for the season opener in 2000.  Everyone was all fired up for a “revenge” game which the Bills won by 3 points on their way to an 8-8 season and a 17 year playoff drought.

Point is - Lamar Jackson - using revenge as motivation is lazy and useless.

R- Man, that is one of my cousin and I’s favorite movies.  We recite lines all the time while kidding around on a weekend check in.  That amongst the LW movies, Goodfellas, etc.  I’m the one with secret love of Star Trek.  I grew up watching that show in the 70’s on Ch. 29.  If you are from Buffalo, you know Ch. 29.

yes sir, channel 29.  used to watch Ultraman after school.

Week 1 is going to be a big week for seeding in an already tough AFC.  Whoever wins this first game essentially has a 2 game lead in the seeding race as they will be both up one and possess the tie breakers too.

So I like the fact the Ravens are over focused on the past and may press more.  Let them bring that emotion into the game as it will start to work against them once something doesn't go their way and the start pressing too much.

You’re saying an offense that’s designed to a player’s strengths to minimize his weaknesses is a bad thing?

Where did I say its a bad thing to design an offense to take advantage of a players strengths??

The question was can a player who isn't very smart win an MVP, and my answer was yes if he is put in the perfect offense for him and gets massive help from the media.

That gimmicky read option Offense with a future first ballot Hall of Fame RB standing right next to him is the only Offense he would be successful running.

I love when people are like "Lamar outplayed Josh just look at his stats!" Conveniently, leaving out Lamars 2 TO's in a 2 point loss

The Jets not hiring him this round was perhaps the most disappointing thing in the history of sports.

Rex really thought he was getting the job too 😝

Well, you said he’s in a system designed for him so he doesn’t deserved to be MVP. How else would someone interpret that?

I didn’t realize the media was helping him play quarterback. Also didn’t know a future first ballot hof rb was standing next to him his entire career.

You’re making a lot of assumptions about someone you don’t know. He’s clearly on the upper echelon of players in the NFL. He probably doesn’t fit your idea of a typical qb but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a great player.

Man, did I just wake up in 2019? Is it too late to start buying Nvidia stock?

Again.....didn't say he wasn't good.....said he isn't very smart.

As to your comment about the Media not helping him......who do you think votes for the MVP????

As to Henry......before the Ravens got Henry, the excuse from the Media was "there isn't enough help around him"...... now that they have Henry, the Media still blames everyone else but Jackson when they lose.

It has been reported that Jackson travels to New York to party on the weekdays in between games, and does not watch a lot of film to try to make himself a more well-rounded QB.....these are signs of a player who isn't too smart, IMO.

Also, I am not sure if the last line of your post insinuated A racial component to my arguement, but there are plenty of smart Black QB's in the league......there are also plenty of dumb White QB's in the league....race is not a factor here.
