Other than that he hardly played at all. 😉 By the way Forrest only played 74 D snaps last season over 10 games (12%) with one start. He did play 153 ST snaps (53%) for Wash last season. Forrest was out with an injury. Check out his 2023 highlights. 1 Quote

How many guys coming back from injury are the same player? Tre White for example. Forrest played 10 games and wasn’t a starter. Quote

The issue last year with the Redskins I guess is he didn't fit in well with Quinn's scheme or fell out of favor? Whatever. He's athletic enough and put enough good play on tape that he's absolutely worth the low one year contract. I like him better than Mike Edwards. 1 1 Quote

CSBill Posted yesterday at 09:57 AM Posted yesterday at 09:57 AM I agree. I'm unsure why Rapp always gets a bad rap here on TBD. I consider him a good Safety. Quote

In 2023 I thought he was not the best coverage safety, he hit hard and made some plays but I also thought he was not the greatest in coverage. I thought he was ideally a fantastic backup or a niche role player in the "big nickel" role. But in 2024 having that second year in the system worked wonders for him. He seemed to be a lot better in coverage and just being in the right places. He still had some lapses here or there but I thought he was overall a better than average starting caliber safety. Quote

My first thought.. slow news day LOL... I dont hate Rapp.. but he is an unmanned heat seeking missle that destroys indiscriminately all he collides with... opposing players, our players, himself, yard markers, cheerleaders, coaches, large rocks... LOL... Edited yesterday at 02:08 PM by JP51 Quote

He made a lot of TD saving plays through contacting receiver or shoe string tackles on run plays (his missed tackle % of 2.4% is awesome). But overall his coverage left a lot to be desired. QBR of 109 when targeted is not inspiring a lot of confidence (thats with the pass breakups included). 10.9 yards per target is super rough. We struggled when he wasnt there cause we didnt have the defense set well. Hope is that Bishop has learned everything that Rapp knows and can apply it cause I expect better secondary play then 109 QBR. Quote

Between injuries to Rasul Douglas, Taron Johnson, and himself due to his carelessness, you have to wonder whether his "reasonable productiveness" is offset by drop off in skill when backups are covering for the damage he inflicts. He’s also made a lot of big plays with that style as well. He’s not a star and has some big flaws (coverage) but he is a solid player who goes all out. He’s also started on a SB winner so you could do a lot worse than Rapp. 1 Quote
Lafromboise Posted yesterday at 04:54 PM Posted yesterday at 04:54 PM I'm gunna speak for everyone that we're freaking spoiled by the play of Hyde and poyer. Two all pros between them. The communication was excellent between them 7 hours ago, CSBill said: I agree. I'm unsure why Rapp always gets a bad rap here on TBD. I consider him a good Safety. He had a very good season in 2023 playing in a Ron Rivera defense so I feel that bodes well for him in Buffalo. But we’ll see 1 Quote

On my list of issues on the defense last year the safeties were not nearly as high as CB2 CB4 and the D line. Rapp I thought was really solid and Hamlin was serviceable. We just had such high level play that anyone after that is even a step down doesn't match. I am fine with the safeties being Rapp/Bishop for a few years. 1 Quote

Poor plan for Garret Wilson which Rapp is part of; Poor FG kicking; poor flags thrown; Hail Mary which Rapp is the one at the catch point; but two TD saving plays (one shoe lace run stop and one PBU); also some poor angles on Hall. So yes he had 2 game saving plays but part of that is cause he didnt stop a hail mary and the safeties overall were giving up chunks plays. I'm not giving him a fantastic for that game. 1 1 Quote

He is not going to win us any games but is unlikely to lose us many. People talk about him like hes the Nathan Peterman of safeties, and that just simply not true. I'm not gonna bang the drum and say hes a great player, but hes fine. Average to below average starter 2 Quote
