first_and_ten Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Josh Allen said that Dalton was dealing with a lot of injury issues last year, but played through most until the knee injury. I fully expect this year to be a breakout year for Dalton. I'm not giving up on this guy. 2 Quote

He looks so skinny. Did he even look at the weight room since the season ended?? I’m not the biggest Kincaid fan, but I will let the season play out and not overreact from one photo. BUT if he can’t improve with his blocking from last season, it’s going to be really hard for him to get many more snaps. At this point, it’s looking like his ceiling might be close to a player like Dalton Schultz Quote

The way he was used had me thinking they were compensating for something. Not like year one. As mentioned , many of us thought the TEs would be a feature . and not sure about this season for Dalton being a difference maker as once projected by a few of us. 1 Quote

3rdand12 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 The worst time of the year is when he dropped the winning touchdown. This is NOT the worst time , by a country mile. Hence my " speaking of Kincaid" Good thread But was that actually Dalton in the OP ? lol 1 Quote

His pretty tall but doesn't get the physical wins and jump balls. He's pretty smooth but doesn't beat tight coverage. He's fast but doesn't out run anyone. He's pretty versatile but doesn't make it an X-factor. He can't block, he can't stretch the field. He can create a mismatch by being on the field in a 12 lineup with Knox and a blocking WR (Hollins) because Knox, Hollins/Kincaid could block. Kincaid and Hollins would double team blockers or chip them for the rest of the pulling OL or FB. He adds value to our team. But I don't think it is blue chip trade up in round 1 quality. If he went to the Cowboys we wouldn't know him any better than a Cowboys player knows he's on our team except for being jealous they didn't get him. I don’t have anything against Kincaid, I just always saw him effectively as a WR, not a TE. He doesn’t have the build and he is not a good blocker so, yeah, WR. More specifically he is a Slot WR and we seem to have a glut at SWR so I could see him getting moved too. Kinda tough to see the Bills giving him a second contract as it stands so they may as well get something in trade next offseason. That all assumes that he doesn’t light it up this season, but it’s tough to see that happening with so many to spread targets to. We will have to wait and see. 1 Quote

Guessing it was injury. He is a good receiver, but I just don’t know that he will hold up in the NFL. If he can’t ever be inline - and I don’t think he will - then he is a TE2. Nothing wrong with that except where we drafted him. Just now, JakeFrommStateFarm said: Are you saying if Bills fans are given more time they will forgive Kincaid for dropping the last pass of the season? How much more time do they need ? Maybe not forgive, but he will get shuffled behind a lot of other goats as time passes. Right now it was the last important thing that happened in a Bills game. Give people time. Personally, I think there’s a lot of blame to go around and much of it goes on the coaches. It was a rough play for Kincaid, but wouldn’t single him out as why we lost. 1 1 Quote
