The Bills have Josh and Cook, with the latter being upset. Outside of that, the offense is made up of a bunch of average to good players at best, but no game changers in terms of receivers/TEs. This draft would not have made a massive difference in terms of talent level, I accept that. But it could have given the Bills something different. The fourth round pick is the one which bugs me. I hope I'm wrong, and the Bills bring in a big name free agent/trade at WR whilst Walker comes through. Our OL makes the whole thing work, outside of Josh of course. You can have a VERY productive offense, when your OL is top 5ish and a MVP QB. I mean see Chiefs for past 2 years. Defense is what wins championships, has been that way for a long time. Remind me of the last "shoot out" SB? Plus outside Josh. Cook, OL. Shakir is a very good slot WR. Add in Palmer. Then complementary players. Unless we're giving up on Kincaid and Coleman already, we need to count on them to make a jump in production. That's essentially a 1st and 2nd rounder--- that's our investment that we need to see pay off. Time to invest more will come, if they don't elevate their game soon. Complete confidence in both guys Quote

The roster is pretty much what it is now. My guess would be DJ Chark. 4.35 40 and I believe has worked with Josh in the offseason some in the past? 1 Quote
LEBills Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Well after two years of free agency and two year of the draft, WR is still the biggest need on this team. Pay Cook. Loved the first three picks, just wanted a little more for Josh. Quote

Complete confidence in both guys It's true, the OL looked great last year. I would like another starter in the WR room. Shakir, Palmer, Coleman and maybe Samuel are fine, as long as Coleman takes the step up, but someone to stretch the field would be key. I just wish they had drafted Royals. Quote

If anyone was going to take Bond, it would have happened before the end of the Draft. It isn't a matter of value. If no one would take him with his talent in Round 7 - no one's signing him. He's justifiably untouchable. I wouldn't even be surprised if Goodell flat out told people behind the scenes that the NFL won't allow a criminally charged with Rape player on their field until after he was cleared. And with the case against him, I don't see that happening. 1 Quote

BillsFan130 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) This draft and even the free agent signings put the heat on Bobby Babich. Last year inarguably there wasn't enough talent So It will be interesting to see what happens with Bobby B, if the bills defence starts slow. As I don't think the patience will be too high Edited April 26 by BillsFan130 Quote

I know it was not a good WR class and I wasn't banging the drum for one in the first three rounds, but I think we should have taken one early today. I guess our best option now is re-signing Cooper. Yeah that was much much lower on the priority list. Again, watch this team struggle on defense and tell me we should be prioritizing WR any higher Quote

I find that hard to believe with his old age unless he keeps a bottle under the table. Quote

But at the end of day, whoever we bring in is Wr5. Our DL picks will be making more of a difference on gameday, then a few fade patters and hoping 1 or so connect. Quote

NeverOutNick Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Honestly didn’t do much research on Prather but just watched his 2023 highlights and I like what I see. He tracks the deep ball really well and although he’s not a speedster, he looks like he can get a little separation for such a tall guy. Not bad, although I have no idea what happened to him last year to make him drop to us here. Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Damn good Defensive draft. The offseason has been good for the defense. Quote
Tulsabillsfanz Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I watched NFL Network for this year’s draft. They’re not perfect, but they’re much more enjoyable (& much less annoying) than ESPN. 1 3 1 Quote
