Did we do enough at wide receiver?

Recommended Posts

With all the offseason moves, and adding just Coleman in the draft, did we do enough or will Beane look to trade or add a free agent after Trey’s money frees up?

I for one can’t believe we are finished, how about you?

Primary:

Dalton Kincaid

Curtis Samuel

Khalil Shakir

Keon Coleman

James Cook

Will get targets:

Mack Hollins

Dawson Knox

On the roster to compete:

Justin Shorter - 5th round pick

KJ Hamler - 3rd

Andy Isabella - 2nd

Still a few solid WRs in FA we could bring in for a season, but they won’t break the top 5 targets.

No.  Granted they can still try to do something before the season starts but this draft was a huge missed opportunity for a front office that ALWAYS talks itself into addressing offense some future year.  Always.  These guys have rules in their heads.

Nothing but questions after the first 4. Are you comfortable with this group for a super bowl run?

Hopefully it turns out better it looks on paper.  I wouldn't be comfortable going into the season with that roster.

I have to think (or hope) that Beane is planning to make a veteran acquisition before the season.

Agreed.

This FO is wasting away Josh's prime years.

They need to add a vet WR, but the question is who?  not alot left... unless they trade

Along the way to the Super Bowl, two of the league’s tougher defenses couldn’t stop Kc. I think the offense especially the receiver position deserved better attention. Time will tell.

Shakir replaces Diggs

Coleman replaces Gabe

Samuel replaces Shakir Yr1

Then you have Kincaid and Knox

Backups Hollins, Isabella

Can Shakir handle that load and responsibility? A lot to ask for Diggs in his prime, not so much the second half of last year.

Dalton Kincaid will get 100+ targets this season, which is what we drafted him for .
