First off it won't happen IMHO. Second off I don't want it to happen, you do. Third off,  YOU are one that talks talks about sitting on a hill top with your buddies and shooting conservatives.

This is not the first time lefties have freaked out on Trump for using a word correctly according to the dictionary.  Maybe they don't know how to use one?  Remember when President Trump said he was going to win bigly? The lefties freaked out and said bigly wasn't a word. Then someone looked it up in the dictionary and it is indeed a word.

Only one presidential candidate speaks of violence with respect to elections. Typical bully talk, except here Trump is trying to bully voters. Like most bullies, he talks tough to cover up his personal insecurities and cowardice.

Trump’s remark mimicked comments made by Xiaopeng in a letter to XPeng employees obtained by CNBC last month. Xiaopeng suggested that “a bloodbath” is coming for the American auto industry this year.

Sometimes it's helpful to remember the old adages:

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can really offend me."

Good for you, Andy, for standing up for those voters, uh, bullied in some way, um, by the use of a word that, uh, is used frequently without offense, in a non-bullying fashion to um, describe an  economic outcome.

Nothing new. I hope Trump supporters try another Jan 6 when he loses and I hope the Capitol Police takes the gloves off this time. These people are cockroaches in need of a big old boot.

another reason to strengthen NATO. If these scumbags turn some of law enforcement or the military, we can ask for aid in doing just that. Personally, I think putting the Jan 6 shite behind bars will be a cautionary tale for many would be insurrectionists. But more insurance is often good.

it is PRECISELY crap like this that makes me Hate politics.

I think he meant the auto industry would experience bloodbath.

BUT

The choice  of word was an inflammatory choice. Does he talk out both sides of his mouth though? CONSTANTLY

In view of all that is going on in his life do you think he ever filters or thinks of what he says before he blurts out his mouth. I bet his lawyers wish he would STFU at times. He can be his own worst enemy.

AS IF more fire needed be put on political rhetoric in view of his legal troubles and the 1/6 issues.

the optics are HORRIBLE.

Lord have mercy.

Now flame away I do GAF but it's PPP It is what it is.

The optics for the Dems, trying to take Trump's words out of context, were HORRIBLE.  And that's the reason why non-Trump fans like Steven A. Smith called them out for it.

Plausible deniability: it’s your MO as well. Try transparency sometime. It would be uncomfortable at first but ultimately redeeming

Transparency:

I used to feel that exchanging thoughts with you was a worthwhile endeavor.  As with all posters, I assume they are who they say they are with respect to occupation, education, background or whatever they choose to share.  It just makes things easier.

Over the past couple months, I've noticed that you seem to have trouble keeping track of things you've posted a just day(s) or weeks earlier.  I've withheld commentary on that because it seems unsporting, and beyond that, what's the harm?   However, this, coupled with your prolific penchant for puffery has caused me to reconsider the value of what you offer.

Thank you again.

Right.

Think about this one: "I will be a dictator on day one."

Wonderful. We can talk about what he means (is he literally going to circumvent the constitution, or was this just another example of Trump trolling the libs?) But let's say he gets elected and on Day One he issues an Executive Order similar to (but more expansive than) he ill-fated "Muslim Ban."

The lawsuits come the next day. And what do the lawsuits cite? TRUMP's OWN WORDS in which he admitted he'd be a "dictator" (read: a violator of constitutional separation of powers) on Day One.

Is he doing this because he expects - maybe even wants? - courts to stop his own stupidity? Is he doing it because all he cares about is getting elected and he thinks this sounds appealing to his base? Because the conclusion is now obvious: any EO he issues on Day One is presumptively unconstitutional. Because he said as much. Hell, I'll work on that lawsuit; it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Hello Muppy,

This isn't about posters on PPP threads taking shots at each other.  It's feigned outrage over specific moments in time designed to rile up listeners/readers/voters to manipulate them accordingly.  It works.

15 seconds and a google search will reveal all sports of people, from all walks of life, using words that can get someone, somewhere, worked up.

And with Trump they parse every word to get the maximum outrage they can for their followers.  And because of TDS, it works like a charm.

So let's go to a different one: what does "I will be a dictator on Day One" mean?

Because it's pretty obvious to me that it means "I won't be constrained by the constitution when I issue Executive Orders."

I see what you're saying.

But you have all those examples of democrats using "bloodbath" and then this recent example of Trump using it, and I'm sure he's used it many, many times in the past in both business and political contexts.

But there was never an uproar in the media about anyone using this term, until a few days ago when they purposely and in unison took the words out of context.

All politicians talk out of both sides of their mouth.  It's a job requirement. Show me a politician who doesn't mislead and I'll show you one who isn't getting re-elected.

It's hard enough nailing them down on the truth. So it would be nice not to have a media that lies consistently about what politicians actually say (certain ones more than others). Most people are smart enough to read and understand what they said when given the whole story.

What should piss everyone off here is the media in unison purposely trying to mislead the public.

Again.

Why?  There were plenty of white guilt libs participating in the Summer of 2020.

But regardless of who participated, the destruction was 100X worse than J6 and should not be tolerated again.

Yes, it was.

Since when do we equate the amount of destruction with the target of the destruction?

"We" don't and didn't.  Again regardless of who participated in it, it shouldn't be allowed to happen again.

No argument there.

You can search every post of mine on PPP and never find one that could be construed as soft on crime.

What about soft in the head?
