As a native Ohioan I can tell you that’s a common ceiling pattern for a drywall ceiling. It’s called stippling and is done with a small mop while a final coat of joint compound is still wet. Listen, we all get our pre-draft crushes and interests…but if the 2018 draft showed us anything, it’s that when the pick is made: that’s our guy and whatever was said about them or previously projected is rendered meaningless. Instead of choosing to bash the picks because random talking heads think it’s an overvalue or a miss is simply a waste of breath. Yeah, but by that logic you'll always take the safe bet, a path that ultimately leads to mediocrity. In other words, sometimes it IS the right move to take what appears to be a gamble at the time, as the Allen pick shows. That pick WAS the right move at the time.
