You know it's going to be a good story when the confessor describes being in "an intoxicated state".

While I have no connection to the missing item it sounds like some of the capers I've pulled.

Believe me when I say that this would be the first place I'd come and brag about it too.

I have no respect for the asshooole who stole it. That’s why we were in QB purgatory for 20+ years. Selfish ass.

I have respect for him owning up to it and returning it...I'm not saying it's right but being in your 20s and Alcohol leads to a lot of Jackass behavior.  I'm guilty of doing things at that stage I wish I could take back

I once stole a Jenny McCarthy cardboard stand up from a restaurant in my youth.  But didn't give it back.

When I was like 12 or 13 I stole a Pam Anderson Playboy from a bookstore...I wasn't a bad kid for the most part and that was probably one of the first things I did in life that I shouldn't have and I had a guilty conscious about the stealing part for awhile

The thing is I wasn't trying to be cool or a badass, I just wanted to see Boobs!

Leaving the porno mags where a horny 13 yr old can swipe it seems like a bad business plan, in general. Hard to blame the hormone driven pre-teen over the short sighted store manager.

I agree. I just needed something to hang my hat on for 21 years of JV QB play.

Haha that story is awesome.

I know there was a Playboy with Geri Halliwell (Sexy or Ginger Spice) I was half tempted to do that with.  But for nostalgia I bought and still own the copy off eBay.

Yeah sometimes in high school it really bothered me how other kids would cheat on tests and what not.  Then I grew up and I have to think some of that is on the teacher for being dumb and naive

I had parted ways with that stolen mag many years ago but then I came across the same issue at one of those flea market/antique stores in the Eastern Hills mall a few years ago and bought it for the Nostalgia of the whole situation...but I'd also like to think by buying a copy I made amends for my sin all those years later ;)

This is kind of a cool story.  I can appreciate the dude who had a guilty conscience and returned the ball after he learned the old man had passed away.

I agree that's why I shared this story, like I mentioned earlier in this thread I have respect for how this guy owned up to his mistake and returned it
