He's been ragged on hard by Bills fans. That must suck. Terrel Shavers- has 1 catch for a long TD. What other WR is so effective? I actually think Shavers has a shot at roster due to special team needs 1 Quote
EasternOHBillsFan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I was very excited to see Sebastian Savage be drafted by the Bills, as he was a BEAST when I went to college. It just didn't pan out for him anywhere. He has a great football name! His teammate, Charlie Davenport, was drafted by the Steelers and he didn't pan out either. Quote

I actually think Shavers has a shot at roster due to special team needs It happened in a game the Bills were leading by 30+ points at the end of the game where the other team looked more interested in trying to figure out what they were ordering for dinner than playing football at that point. In other words, it has no real relevancy to what would happen during a real game when the teams were still playing for something. Sure, he might be on the team for Special Teams, but that doesn't make him some secret 1,000 yard WR hiding on the roster like many people seem to think with these random WR's Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Donovan Greer We played with him in the alumni tournament a few years back and he got so high he couldn’t get out of the cart on the back 9. 🤣🤣 1 Quote

transient Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Pete Metzelaars - he was a member of the country club that I tended bar at during the summers when I was in college; he had to duck his head walking into the dining room or he would have gotten hit right in the forehead by a wooden beam... also, he was very shy and unassuming... If they made a fable about him and Keon Coleman it would be called "The Tortoise and the Tortoise" Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Jerry Crafts. Some of you remember way back when (92'-95), I knew Jerry as he grew up in Tulsa, and his mom and stepdad were still here. In 93/94, I drove up to Buffalo with my Wife, and Jerry got me in the locker room on Saturday each time. I still have a game ball signed in Silver Sharpie from almost every member of the 1993 team, which was the last to play in a Super Bowl to date. He was solid, tried to do a good job, but his weight held him back, that and a bad divorce from his wife toward the end of his time here. Good guy overall. 1 Quote
BigDingus Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I never lived in Buffalo, so I've had very few interactions with players. The best I've got was 2 people seeing my Bills jersey at the Houston airport, then coming over to talk to me. They ended up being Taron Johnson's parents, which was super cool to hear them brag on their son. Other than that, something I remember & won't shut up about: 9 x Pro Bowler, 4 x All Pro Ruben Brown. I remember that well, and it still bums me out he's not even on the Wall of Fame. Edited 4 hours ago by BigDingus Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Brian McClure, QB Beat the NY Giants in his only start during the Replacement season. He was our Shane Falco. Not even the great Lawrence Taylor (who had crossed the picket line) could derail the McClure Train. Quote

How dare you mention this group, and omit Robert 'HoF' Foster, one of Alabama's finest WRs to ever wear a Bills uniform?! 🤨😉😁 Quote

Yep, we ride some players hard, but we still love them because they are Bills. Bills have not had great TEs, a few good ones, but lots of misses on high draft picks. So I think Lonnie got xtra criticized due to draft status and previous failures at TE Quote

smward8 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Jamie Nails. He was about 365 lbs at RT. I remember a game where the play by play guy said something about the pass rusher trying to run around him and Dan Marino as the analyst said "if you're going to run around Nails, you're going to be late". Absolutely hilarious at the time. Also, Ted Washington. Listed at 335 in the program but played at around 375. Big Ted was chasing Marino and Jim Kelly as the analyst deadpanned " there's a foot race". Quote
