How Far Will This Court Go?

Recommended Posts

Are they literally just going to try and turn the country into right wing wonderland? Is everything the right wants about to be delivered to them?

This new gun regulation that's about to be passed, how can that survive a challenge if NY can't have its gun laws upheld

Gun laws gone

Health care gone

Environmental protections gone

Gay rights gone

Corporate regulations gone

Voting rights gone

I have a hard time seeing this crowd stopping until we have a theocracy

Church bells ring, are you listening?
It's a new era's christening.
A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking in a right-wing wonderland!

Gone away is the Burger Court,
Arrest the migrants at every port!
We'll sing a love song,
To a border so strong,
Walking in a right-wing wonderland!

In garages, we can build machine guns,

Because the ATF is full of clowns.
They'll say, are you licensed?
We'll say, no man,
Come try to take them and you'll end up underground!

Later on, we'll conspire
To rig elections, wire-to-wire;
To intimidate gays,
With the plans that we've made
Walking in a right-wing wonderland!

Agreed Tibs.....it's a shocking development...

Because the country has been in such great shape since the late 1960s early 70s.

Since then we've:

Ended racism

Aborted 10s of millions of babies

Strengthened marriages and families

Ended drug addictions

Lowered our health insurance costs

Created new genders

Voting is so easy the State will mail you a ballot - you can vote months in advance of an election!

Corporations have almost no power

But most important - Limited the power of the federal government

If you can get that mis-information czar lady to sing and record the lyrics to music you might have a Grammy winner here!

Ya, the court members are as twisted as you. Yes, that's my point, pretty much

Maybe it should be left to the states?

That was an argument once before.

When will they bring back slavery?

Amy Barrett does believe in constitution as it was originally written. I remember cringing when she said that.

Sounds like a lot of responsibility.

You have plenty of time... use it responsibly. Its about time that you took a stand on something.

Actually Clarence Thomas has been playing a long game to get interracial marriage banned so he can divorce his wife and pay no alimony.

I have a good business plan just in case.

Combine it with the new tobacco rules and it’s bootlegging plantation time.

Funnily enough, Roe v. Wade was decided on similar privacy grounds as Obergfell v. Hodges, Griswold v. Connecticut, Lawrence v. Texas, and Loving v. Virginia. In his concurrence, Thomas stated that they should look at cases to revisit all of those except Loving v. Virginia.

Do I look like I’m joking?

But in actuality Loving was decided on two grounds, it’s still an equal protection issue even if substantive due process disappears overnight.
