I think bills go pass catching specialist with pass blocking ability. Bills obviously wanted mckissic pretty bad, making me think mcD values pass blocking over speed. Though I would love the whole package.

This. I think the fact that Beane made the effort to bring mckissic here shows he wants that type of player on the team. If we go into the draft without signing someone else, it’s very much on the table at some point.

I agree it has to be a fit.  I probably should have said that “they will be in trouble if they miss out on the first round corners” instead of “they have to take a corner in round 1”.

I don’t think they will be in trouble at all. Just because a corner goes in the first doesn’t make him a scheme fit. McD is the best coach in the league at developing corners and he knows what type he likes. All the first round guys won’t necessarily fit that mold.

That’s why I really think gardner, McDuffie, and Stingley could be the types of guys he prefers. Guys with loose hips and elite traits. These also happen to be guys that will likely be long gone.

Don’t flatter yourself. Your opinion is meaningless.

My opinion matters to me.  That’s really all that matters.  Your feeble personal attacks are no match for my psyche

Yes. You are Mike Schoop. Always thinking you are better and more important than anyone else. Always thinking your opinion is the only one that matters. Keep up the good work Mike. You’ve been rocking it on a Bills message board for 20 years. It shows how knowledgeable you are.

Yeah….that’s it.  I state my opinion.  I state why i feel that way.  Period.  You can take it how you like it.

It’s not some radical idea that RBs aren’t valued very much.  The majority of the nfl feels the same.  I’m speaking for the majority and have stated several facts that back up my opinion.

Easily replaceable…. Yes. Replaceable with elite talent… no. Nobody is replacing Taylor or Henry right now. And those teams wouldn’t give them up for anything.

one could argue that getting a young RB that can do it all on a rookie contract is extremely important to an offense and makes all the difference in the world.

I HATED CJ Spiller. But imagining what this offense could be with someone like Spiller I’m his prime would make it unstoppable. If Hall isn’t the answer, that’s fine. But the fact is Beane agrees with this more than you do apparently. He tried for a fast, receiving RB in FA and apparently got pretty upset when we were screwed by Washington. And they were reportedly interested in Ettiene in last years draft only to lose out on him a few picks before us.

this team is missing a dynamic RB. That can do it all and take it to the end zone on any given play.

This right here says it all. Beane wants a pass catching RB, it’s obvious. He tried for McKissic and wanted Etienne last year. In my opinion, the best runner/pass catcher is Breece Hall. Nobody in this years draft has the hands and speed combo that he does.

Najee was picked in the 1st round, so not sure where this 3rd round statement is coming from?

Agreed. Boundary corners only-

Outside corners that could be available rd2-4:  Emerson, Bryant, woolen, akayleb Evans, Goodrich, josh Williams, jobe, Alontae Taylor, Waller.

With “elite talent”, who cares if your RB is elite??  Just about every team in the league would prefer to have an elite talent at WR, OL, DL, CB….even TE.

What have elite talent rbs accomplished in the nfl in the last 20 years besides making the HoF?  Not winning Super Bowls.

cj spiller didn’t know how to read running lanes.  He was a terrible rb that Chan Gailey knew how to use properly. Fred jackson was so much better than spiller.

Right now defensive coordinators in the league are going over tape of the Bills v Chiefs game trying to figure out how to stop them by either employing more DBs, etc. Having a home run threat in the backfield will help to thwart that concept. Just think back to SB XXV. Had Marv been more willing to run the ball with Thurman instead of trying to force the passing game, we might have a SB trophy sitting at OBD

Yeah, I’ve been pounding the table to run more and run more 12 personnel for 1.5 years. And running the ball is great….. when your offensive line does their job and opens holes.  Our run game was a tale of two different tapes in the beginning and the end of the season.  And none of it had to do with the running back. Just the OL

Resumes matter more for RBs than they do QBs. The best NFL RBs tend to have had a productive college career.

Hall was very productive with what passes were thrown his way. Averaging 10 yards on catches. He was very productive in the run game as well, considering the fact that Brock Purdy was his QB, so despite throwing the ball a lot at Iowa State, he still put up 1400 yard seasons.

Brice Dickenson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith … The Trooper

Just depends on where the information comes from. This one says Rashad White has the best hands in the class... One side of the Pond to the other.😁

Lame. Brandon Beane gunna Brandon Beane.

Yeah…. Brandon Beane going to continue to build the leagues favorite to win the super bowl like he has been building it.  Without the need for an elite RB.

Let’s see how that works out.

Well when you land your gm job let us know what team we can see you build into a juggernaut. You’re clearly a few steps ahead of at least half the gm’s in the league.

By the looks of the last 20 super bowl winners, it’s a winning strategy.
