I don’t see why else they wouldn’t pay that price (if he was asking for the same from us). Especially with a late 1st round pick. I’m sure they will bring in a vet who will compete for a starting spot with a rookie. But due to Tre’s injury, I’m sure it will be a vet who can play either cb 1 or 2 week one, with Dane/rookie at the other spot. For the price Levi took with Pittsburgh, the Bills have to something specific in mind, which probably entails a cb who can do more things, and let the defense play a little different. Kind of like how he has described his thought process when trading down in the draft. For a 4 m a season, it will be interesting to see what’s upcoming in FA and how the plan unfolds. For sure he is. He's a beast. But there's no guarantees with an ACL that he'll have his full game speed and cut ability by the opener. For some it takes longer to get it back. However, if a guy slips, we seem to be boxing ourselves in to needing an early CB and WR. If there’s one thing the Bills have shown it’s to be overly cautious regarding guys coming off injuries, so I expect to see him in October at the earliest.
