Has the NFL's partnership with gambling ruined your experience?

It really has. I am very sad. Due to this partnership I find I am no longer able to find the joys I once had in life. Restless sleep. Random crying. A loss of the ability to maintain an erection for longer than 4 hours. And I find myself drawn to Hallmark Movie Classics...but only the ones with the DJ from Full House. I feel like those last 2 are related.

Time for a hooker.

Just getting the temperature of the fan base...has the NFL's embrace of gambling taken away from your enjoyment of the game?  For me, it has...

I have trouble wondering if the officiating is completely incompetent, or there are other factors at play to keep "the line moving"...

This isn't just related to Bills games either.  Every game I've watched there's this questionable call that completely changes the outcome of a game, and you sit there wondering how something like that could be called at that point of the game.

Not only that, the number of upsets this year has been very strange.  It seems like a lot of forced parity to keep the bookies happy...

Maybe I just need a better tinfoil hat...

Nope - nothing has changed except instead of 52 stupid beer commercials- we now get 10 stupid gambling commercials thrown in.

THIS! ^^^^^^

I’ve been betting the NFL for 50 years, every which way and format. ‘Embracing gambling’ has increased my interest. However, the way that the NFL has done it is really Kindergarten level so far.

What is really needed is a parallel NFL Network show, akin to Red Zone, which TOTALLY focuses on gambling from the Opening Kickoff until the Final Gun of EVERY game. That would be the Spreads and every quarter, the Totals and every quarter. Even the critical Fantasy props!
Until I see that, it’s meh to me!

As for the Refs, they’ve been incompetent for 1/2 a century, too.
*Ever see the Immaculate Reception?

* Oilers player sliding through the End Zone at 3 Rivers for a Playoff clinching TD- ruled Incomplete?

* ANY spots for fantasy Brady First Downs @ Gillette v.s. the Bills?

* ANY calls for the Seahawks at Home in critical late season games?

*Etc... there are scores of them!

Officiating has been inconsistent for years. It's not any worse this year than it has been. In fact, just a couple years ago we couldn't even get the catch rule right. Catches that were obvious catches were being overruled.

Challenging pass interference a couple years ago was the biggest joke of officiating I have ever seen.

So maybe if I felt officiating was different now I could entertain this idea, but it's not. You just have recency bias.

Officiating has for sure.

Gambling on games doesn't matter to me until we see someone pull a Billy Cole.

A movie that absolutely deserved a sequel.  An underrated Bruce Willis movie when he cared about acting.

I don't like it only insofar as it moves us one step closer to a world where "sports talk" is synonymous with "gambling talk" and I have ZERO interest in gambling, point spreads, fantasy teams, etc...

It's getting to the point where sports talk radio can't go 10 minutes without making some type of reference to some aspect of gambling or fantasy sports--and I hate all of it.

I'm amazed at the lengths some of these guys will go to to ramble on about their personal fantasy sports team situation, as though anyone in the world would care but themselves!

The house historically does better when the favorites win

The rulings of those challenges were certainly a joke if that's what you mean.

But the principle of being able to challenge PI is NOT a joke and should be implemented once again. Only next time find a way to get the calls right after the challenge.
