Biden creates an economic crisis--Unemployment, Inflation, risk of STAGLFATION increasing

This is the most bizarre economy I can remember. There’s a supply chain crisis partly due because of jobs not being filled. Then there’s inflation from all the stimulus money.

So what we have is low supply, but high demand for things that are now very costly. That’s very bad.

Shutting down the economy was a big mistake and then the second big mistake was sending stimulus money to everyone. Now everyone is screwed.

Idk how businesses are going to recoup, because Biden is going to raise everyone’s taxes bc that’s what dems do. This could lower inflation, but not if it causes higher unemployment at the same time (bc Biden will send out more stimulus to those who aren’t employed).

so this is becoming really, really messed up. Just leave the economy and small businesses alone.

The question as to whether or not shutting down the economy was bad or depends on your perspective.  The Democrat party benefitted greatly.  Companies determine to be essential benefited greatly—Home Depot, Loews, Joe’s Liquor Store.   Companies not so fortunate were not so fortunate.

This is as good as the economy gets. Things are going swimmingly, with a few problems.

Yah all except when you get to the point that we are paying 60% higher gas prices and every other thing we buy has gone up due to inflation . I heard a guy talking on a radio show yesterday said he paid $63 for a set of windshield wipers and they use to be $23 a yr ago .

Sounds like Joes got it figured out all right raise th price of any fuel so high that everything else costs double what it did then th people won't be able to afford their gas auto's anymore & they will be forced to buy electric cars .

Even though it take fossil fuels to make the bulk of the electric and they will be forced to pay more for it & buy electric his agenda will go through ya for Joe the worst president since Carter ...

Even if they don't improve if there was some sign of leadership in DC (from either party) they wouldn't have to worry.  I hope people realize that ***** happens and it takes a good leader to "calm the troops" in times like these.  Trump didn't do it and look where he is now

7% inflation is as good as it gets?  Take your blinders off.  Swimmingly.

When I talk to people, and I talk to a lot of them about this *****, they aren't talking levels of employment.  They are talking taxes and......INFLATION.

He tried and got crucified for it.  Meanwhile Joey promised to shut down Wuhan virus, people got calmed (suckered) and look where we are now.

Another new inflation record: Producer price index hits 9.6% in November

None of this will make Joe Manchin any friendlier to the Build Back Better bill. Nor will it make voters any friendlier to Biden or Democrats.

This is a political disaster as well as an economic crisis, and the worst part of this is that it was predictable — and predicted.

“I'm not exaggerating when I say the Biden-Harris administration has delivered one of the most consequential first years of any presidential administration ever,” he said in part.

No kidding.

BREAKING: NBC News reports Senate Democrats to "shelve" BBB

Talk about insanity. This is the same “leverage” that Pelosi used to tie up the bipartisan infrastructure bill until Democrats took a beating in the elections last month. Now she’s leveraging children in order to force a vote on the same bill. That’s desperation indeed.

Economic Realities Continue to Elbow Drop Democrat Hopes and Dreams

Over the last few days, January 6th has once again been placed at the forefront. As reported, Rep. Liz Cheney, apparently actively trying to not be re-elected, released private text messages between then Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and various GOP figures.

But far from proving the left’s fevered conspiracy of a planned “insurrection,” the texts actually showed concern and surprise at what was unfolding. One such message came from Donald Trump’s own son, again undercutting the idea that January 6th was planned or encouraged from the top.

But while the beltway bubble is focused like a laser beam on proving that Trump committed the supposed crime of not listening to Sean Hannity quickly enough, the rest of the country seemingly couldn’t care less. The reason for that is simple — they’ve got much bigger fish to fry.

{snip}

The first question involves Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” bill, and on that front, the news is dire for Democrats. A majority actually believe the bill will either make the economy worse (46 percent) or make no difference (19 percent). That’s in stark contrast to media and Democrat claims that Biden’s agenda is widely popular. Perhaps that’s true for certain, isolated parts of it, but apparently, Americans can see the forest through the trees.

And that brings us to the second poll question, which largely explains the results of the first. Contrary to some in the media proclaiming that inflation is a good thing or that it only affects the rich, 67 percent of respondents said they’ve experienced personal financial hardship over the last six months due to the inflationary boom. That’s the bell tolling for Democrats who had hoped to change the subject and soothe the American public with overwrought tales of “saving democracy.”

Speaking for myself, inflation has certainly taken money out of my pocket. Gas prices are one thing, but it’s also grocery prices, restaurant prices, and home energy prices that are battering middle-class families. When you put that daily reality up against the Democrat obsession with January 6th, there’s no question the former is going to resonate far more with most Americans.

Yet, Democrats have been getting high on their own supply since the 2020 election, and they’ve shown no capacity to recognize the hole they’ve dug for themselves. Stumbling about in a delusional haze, they seem to truly believe they can tear down a brick wall by beating their head against it. And while musing about big meat conglomerates being the cause of higher prices may sound good to White House staff, few are buying what the administration is selling these days.

Where do Democrats go from here? The answer is nowhere. Public opinion is not going to shift dramatically on these issues over the next eleven months, and even if Democrats were willing to shift their policies, it’s too late for it to matter. There is no reversing the economic damage they’ve caused in time to save their 2022 prospects.

At this point in time, Demented Biden and his communist buddies should just do nothing.  Don't touch anything.  Don't change anything.  Don't do anything.  Becuase everything they have done has been an abject failure.  Stop!  Go to Delaware.  Go on vacation.  Go somewhere.  Just go.  And take your "America Last" agenda with you.  Don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Yeah, no one cares about 1/6 because they arrested (almost) everyone who entered the Capitol and security around the Capitol was enhanced and something like this won't happen again, but the destruction in cities continues unabated and without a care by the Dems until the polls start to reflect it.  And oh yes, the economy, stupid.  Just wait until the Fed starts raising interest rates and the DJIA drops...

Bidenflation Stole Christmas: Retail Sales Much Lower Than Expected in November

Americans slowed their spending by more than expected in November, suggesting that the fastest inflation in decades and shortages have become a drag on the economy and that many Americans got their holiday shopping early this year.

Retail sales rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent in November from October, a significant slowdown from the 1.8 percent jump in the prior month, the Commerce Department said Wednesday. Economists had expected sales to grow by 0.8 percent.

The disappointing number follows three months in which spending exceeded expectations. Many economists mistook the stronger than expected sales earlier in the year as a signal that holiday sales would be particularly strong.

Instead, it was likely a sign that many households did much of their holiday shopping early this year, hoping to avoid prices pushed up by inflation and wary of shortages due to supply chain constraints.

Any of us who voted for Donald Trump knew this was going to happen if Biden were to attain the Presidency. Schumer, Sanders, Pelosi, AOC radical policies would be implemented. The results are already devastating and obvious. The worst is yet to come. I had to laugh as I glanced for a moment at a Buffalo News article yesterday- I would never buy that paper again and haven’t in over a year, but a copy was in the break room at work. The “ news article” blamed all these inflationary forces on things like Covid, global warming , and Donald Trump tariffs! What a joke! No wonder so many misinformed, foolish libs walking around these parts. They’re spoon fed propaganda at every turn from school through adulthood.

You put all that on top of the gov't taxing businesses through the roof & the greed of entitled Americans wanting to make more money for doing less work pushing businesses from the US to China and other countries which adds to the cause of a "Supply shortage" and here we are .

It use to be & the pandemic has proven it that if something like this happened the US could still stand on it's own 2 feet and make it through it but because of the thought of allowing so much of what we use to be produced elsewhere we are at the mercy of this global economy which is unfortunate .

We are no longer a independent country that can stand alone the US is dependent on China & they know it yet the leaders of this country don't want to or won't see it !!

I hate to depend on anyone (especially a politician) to look out for me or my best interests for just this reason because in the long run they truly don't care when you have the likes of those you mentioned in power but their supporters are to blind to see it because they are part of the entitlement problem ...

The Wall Street Journal reports: “Applications for unemployment benefits, a proxy for layoffs, have trended near five-decade lows in recent weeks. Jobless claims for the week ended Dec. 25 fell to a seasonally adjusted 198,000 applications from a revised 206,000 the prior week, the Labor Department said Thursday. That leaves them hovering just above the 188,000 level recorded earlier in December, the lowest level since 1969.”

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey previewed by Secrets said that Biden’s approval/disapproval rating by voters on the economy and national security have dropped below the worst recorded by former President’s Donald Trump and Barack Obama.

Today’s numbers:

Economy:

32% good to excellent,

66% fair to poor,  with 55% rating him poor.

National security:

34% good to excellent,

62% fair to poor. And 50% rated him poor.

That is worse than his rating immediately after the botched troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.

In a Rasmussen survey released last week, his numbers were even worse when voters were asked about his performance on crime and immigration.

Rasmussen’s analysis said that compared to Trump and Obama, Biden’s poor ratings are remarkably bad.

“Biden’s economic and national security ratings are worse than the lowest ratings of either of his two immediate predecessors. Former President Donald Trump’s lowest ratings, for his handling of both the economy (44% poor) and national security (47% poor), were in July 2017. Former President Barack Obama’s worst rating on the economy was 51% poor in August 2011 while Obama’s lowest rating on national security was 47% poor in January 2016,” said Rasmussen.

Just yesterday, CNBC also reported that its polling showed horrible approval/disapproval ratings for Biden, in office for less than a year.

Apparently Joe was broadcasting today from the fake oval office set across the street from the actual White House.  Why Biden can't use the real Oval Office in the real White House?  Does he really work there?  Or maybe the shadow administration actually running the Executive branch is using it?  I don't know.  But as of yet there's no sufficient explanation about any of this movie set Oval Office.   Seems like everything about this administration is fake from fake votes to fake White House w/fake snow showers today.  What a circus.  The laughing stock of the world.  Or as Irv says, what a mess..

An Absolutely Horrific Jobs Report Follows the Democrats' Day of Distractions

After a day of overwrought, largely misleading pronouncements about January 6th, the distractions have turned back into reality for Joe Biden and his maligned party. An absolutely horrific jobs report was released this morning following the Democrats’ “commemoration,” jarring Washington back into the real world of issues people actually care about.

While 422,000 jobs were projected to be created during one of the nation’s peak hiring seasons, the actual number came in at just 199,000. That’s another big miss after November’s paltry numbers and comes on the heels of news that jobless claims remain stubbornly high as well.

CNBC reports:

{snip}

As to the unemployment rate, which remains a relatively low 3.9 percent, that is largely a factor of a lag in the workforce participation rate. That metric has remained nearly flat since Biden took office (61.4 percent to 61.9 percent) and has not even recovered half the ground lost since the COVID-19 pandemic initially tanked the employment market.

So what’s this all mean? Well, it means exactly what it looks like it means. The jobs market continues to falter during a time where growth should be exploding given the decoupling of hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19 infection rates. That’s almost solely due to the ridiculous policies and fear-mongering coming from the Biden administration and its allies, both of which incentivize people to not work when they are otherwise healthy and capable of doing so.

While the January 6th handwringing lasted a day, these economic issues are going to linger until the 2022 election. Perhaps that gives us a window into why Democrats are so desperate to change the subject? Unfortunately, their “save democracy” pitch was always going to be a flash in the pan, and now the return of real problems means more bad news for Democrats.
