I’m with you. ***** the boomers because defaulting will hit them hardest.

To be honest, I’m pretty cool with the Republican position to let boomers die from COVID. I don’t agree with Republicans a lot but it’s probably best for the world.

Classy. Typical authoritarian extremist viewpoint.

Here is what would be best… it would be best for the world to send ignorant idiots to live out their extremist utopia in Cuba or Venezuela and give this country back to moderate people actually interested in democracy and compromising toward real meaningful progress and building a future for our kids instead of milking the remnants of the carcass of the American empire while mindlessly, religiously worshiping at the alter of these corrupt political parties.

How is it authoritarianism? It’s Darwinism.

Dude you’re a ***** lemming. I laid out how the law actually works and all you can do is spit out dumb ass talking points you probably heard on Fox News.

Look, stop it. Grow up. When you’re ready to be an adult read how reconciliation bills work. When you’re ready to be an adult understand how the filibuster works.

When you’re ready to be an adult and actually understand how our government functions come back.

Until then. Bye Felicia

you’ve already been corrected by several others. What you laid out was intellectually dishonest (intellectual hahaha) and abhorrently incorrect. I regularly converse with people that work inside the machine on the hill and k street. You’re regurgitating a 3rd grade understanding of what happens inside the beltway.

Reconciliation is an avenue, dems don’t want to use it because they have so many billets. R’s want to force it to constrain the progressive wish list of new social programs and attempt to federalize election control among other things and force them to own the economic problems coming.

this is 200% political and both parties are playing games.

Name one time the Dems have held the country hostage with the debt ceiling?

This a Republican issue that never used to be an issue.

There is absolutely zero reason the debt ceiling should be raised through reconciliation other than Republicans wanting Dems to use up one their reconciliation bills.

If Republicans want only Dems to pass the debt ceiling increase, they can do that by ending the filibuster.

Not a single Republican has to vote yes on increasing the debt ceiling, but the Republicans can stop Dems on voting for it. Plain, simple facts.

How about 2021? 😂

honestly I’m envious. It must be so comforting to see such a sophisticated complicated nuanced and unfortunately dark and cold world in simple terms like… good guys and bad guys. It’s like most 6 year olds favorite TV movies..  is that the good guy or the bad guy? Simple, easy to comprehend unchallenging to understand… and there is no need to think for yourself. You can be told what you should think.

what’s the phrase?  ignorance is bliss?

glad you have found your bliss in democrats =good guy Republicans = bad guy.  Once you subscribed to that religion or the opposing one for that matter you will believe whatever they tell you to.

Your comebacks are worse than Chris Watson returning a punt.

Its not a good guy bad guy thing. It’s literally the Republicans are holding up a vote on the debt ceiling. End of story. Don’t need to go further than that.

Don’t watch Don. It’s just like the facts.

I won’t look at your post history but your ignorance of facts leads me to think you were on this board saying how great Aaron Maybin is. You’re so oblivious to reality you’re probably typing your responses in a Posey jersey.

Wow funny. Per Jay Z “A wise man told me don't argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who”

This entire argument comes

down to one thing. Do Republicans have the ability to end the filibuster in the Senate on the debt ceiling? If yes, I’m right and you’re a dumb ass. If your response is no, you’re a dumb ass and don’t understand the government.

This is brilliant

sentence 1-3… quote about not arguing

sentence 4.. arguing that there is one thing

sentence 5-7 suggesting two things.

Sometimes it’s really hard to accept  that people with the intellect of a tub of margarine have the same electoral authority as educated informed people who can think critically and understand reality and don’t take headlines at face value.

As your incoherence grows past your bedtime, the facts remain: your party is complicit in the debt ceiling nonsense just as much as the other party you hate. You clearly and by their design can’t see it, like most religiously programmed zealots.  There is no arguing with mindless regurgitation with no command of facts because you are programmed with narratives. Apologies for bigger words, I tried to keep it 4th gradish to help the comprehension aspect.

No, you're being intentionally obtuse.

We've shown you, definitively, that the Democrats can lift the Debt Ceiling with the stroke of a pen(s), given their relative positioning right now.

The point, that you're being obtuse about, is they are SIMULTANEOUSLY embarking on a Nationally embarrassing legislative disaster to crank another $5-7T into an economy that doesn't need it, borrowing dollars that would make even the terrible Trump administration blush, with the intent (quoting now) to "fundamentally change" an economy that shouldn't be fundamentally changed.

It's the greatest economy in the world for reasons.  This administration and Leftists everywhere don't like those reasons.  They are wrong.  Leftists won't even acknowledge that they were told what bad things would happen if they embarked on certain things...they did those things...and now those repercussions are coming home to roost.

So, going along and just raising the debt ceiling, which would apply some normalcy to what is happening, would be the wrong strategy for the Republicans to take on.

The Leftists' policy proscriptions, led by Biden-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer-Sanders-Squad-AOC-Warren (my goodness look at how collectively DUMB that leadership is) leave the Republicans no choice.

To answer your question, your speaker Ms. Psaki explained exactly why the Republicans are doing what they should be doing...because the Leftists want to fundamentally change what is the Greatest system in the world's history, that has lifted the most people out of poverty ever...

It is the proper strategy to not allow these people ANY wins such that they'd lead us into further chaos...

He's being disingenuous.  That is, unless he actually thinks that the Dems can't use reconciliation to lift the debt ceiling, which they most assuredly can.  Just because neither party has before doesn't mean they can't.  And if it's such a threat to the country as the Dems claim, they should act unilaterally to save us all, right?

This administration and Congressional majority doesn't seem to have any problem ramrodding anything they want through the process, circumventing or changing the process, or just plain breaking or disregarding the law to get anything done they deem important.  But increasing the debt ceiling through reconciliation is where they're taking a stand on following the process and the rules?  Something just doesn't seem right here.

Democrats face growing storm over IRS reporting provision

Hill [Washington DC], by Naomi Jagoda

Democrats are facing a firestorm of criticism over a proposal to increase the amount of bank account information reported to the IRS, posing a challenge as they craft their wide-ranging social spending bill. The proposal is a top priority of the Biden administration, which argues it will help the IRS go after wealthy tax cheats. But it has come under a barrage of attacks from banks and Republicans, who say it raises significant privacy concerns. Financial institutions have been mobilizing their customers to speak out against the proposal to lawmakers.

They don't respect the American people.

And the fact that we don't make anything here and are totally dependent on China which happens to be our number one threat.  So how much leverage do you think China has over us?  They send us real goods and we send back pieces of paper that are just IOU's to be redeemed later.  Full containers come into US ports and "empties" are sent back.  What do we have that they would want in exchange for those IOU's we've traded?  Nothing.

The bill for 30 years of dismantling US manufacturing capacity and eliminating millions of good paying jobs and destruction of thousands of small towns and cities in exchange for everyday low prices is coming due.  At some point the concept of "you eat what you kill" is going to be re-instituted and if you don't produce anything then you don't consume anything either.

Cracking Up Lol GIF

Omg they know you're stupid........it's a "political peril" you see.  Not financially devastating for everyday Americans now shelling out 30% more on everything.

Who didn't see this coming.  Lol what a freaking joke.

From State Run Media:

The political peril that Biden didn't see coming

The current inflation spike now appears to be on track to persist deep into 2022.

Americans are likely to face higher prices on everything from gasoline to groceries well into next year — threatening to turn a simmering economic issue into a major political one.

The rapid reopening of the economy this summer led to massive price hikes for travel services, used cars and other goods that were initially dismissed as fleeting phenomena. But the inflation spike now appears to be on track to persist deep into 2022, when midterm elections will determine who controls Congress, as clogged supply chains, labor shortages and unabated consumer demand push costs even higher.

https://www.politico.com/news/2021/10/15/inflation-2022-516064

You're not their concern.  Democrat 2022 election prospects are.

Where tf are the secession articles?
