Miami is doing a very good job of rebuilding, but if they're wrong about Tua, it could all be for naught.  Thank God they weren't smart enough to draft Herbert last year.

Oh I agree about Herbert!  Right now I don't think anyone knows how good or bad Tua will eventually be.

They will have 2 1st's in 2023 so Tua has a 2 year window to show what he's got.

They could win a lot of games with a QB that performs pretty good.

There’s a good chance Penei Sewell is there at six.

No way they could pass up on drafting him to give them bookend tackles (with Austin Jackson) for Tua.

I can’t see the Bengals passing on Sewell, but then again......there’s a reason that they are the Bengals!

If I were in their shoes, I take Sewell or Pitts at 6 and then go WR at 18 and suddenly your supporting cast around Tua is a lot better. Seems like they'll likely go WR at #6 though which is a mistake IMO.

Yep 6. Perfect spot for their target Micah Parsons.

Micah Parsons at 6. Just watch and see and finally get an NFL LBer they have been looking for, for almost a Decade.

WR will maybe come with their 18th pick.

Yep I 100% agree with this.

Fuller being on a 1yr deal makes me think its someone like devonta smith who they can bring along slowly, and kick outside next year.

EXACTLY! now is the time for them to bring a WR and learn.

The fear factor on this board is sometimes silly.  We have an excellent team, good players coming back, Star coming back, and guys right now at least are healthy.  Sometimes I feel like it’s my responsibility to share this...

Until the other teams get a Josh Allen, we’re fine.  We also are smart not giving away draft picks, tons of cap space to the future, and resigning the guys at excellent contracts, we’re going to own the AFCE.  I never could think or say that when Brady was here.  Tua, Jimmy G., a rookie at the Jests.  Not even remotely worried.  It’s nice to love a team like the Hawks where Wilson hides a ton of problems.

Don’t get me wrong, my first reaction was relief. I’m glad that they are sticking with Tua. I think his ceiling is serviceable.

They got an extra 1st and 3rd round pick and still get the guy they wanted.

My issue is that a first round pick two years from now (especially from a team like SF) is not worth very much. It's not like getting an extra first this year.

It's still just free value to them though. Also with that division I don't think it's any guarantee that pick doesn't end up being a mid-1st or better.

My first impression is, wow they are making moves and getting better.  My more timed impression is that the Bills have a QB and a great rooster.  I think I will just enjoy the moment.  We have what they want- its been a long, long time since we have been able to say that.

I get it--they're still probably going to get their guy at 6, but in 2018 the Colts got three second round picks from the Jets to drop back from 3 to 6.  And the third they got this year is a comp pick, more like a fourth rounder, really.

They said that about Hockenson and Fant.  Engram... Howard...

I'm not a big fan of TEs in the first.  I feel like they're rarely the impact players they're supposed to be, espeically on the rookie deal.

Like who are the best TEs in the NFL - Kelce, Kittle, Waller, and probably Andrews.  None were acquired in the first.

LOL do you know the damage a Hockenson could do on this team?

Last year  he had a almost 800 yard 6 TD Year.. with Detroit He was their second best in yards ! lol  HERE?  thats a 900 yard season 8+ TD. You keep hating on Hockenson.. If there was a Hockenson where we draft this year? I would take him and not think second about it. 2020 Hockenson was second best TE in Fantasy. HE was third best in recieving yards... Do you have any clue what so ever what or who your talking about?

If Tua doesn't work out that 2023 1st will come in handy.

Dolphins got 2 picks this year in the first 3 rounds.  5 picks in the top 81!

A great point.  I spend too much time worrying about the moves of other teams, especially in the division.

But I'm as happy w/ the state of the Bills as I have ever been - even counting the glorious '90's.  The future is so bright, and Allen will keep us competitive regardless.

How good the other teams are almost doesn't matter. There will always be tough competition in the NFL, and key games will generally come down to a few plays.  At least the Bills are right there w/ the other top teams and will always have a chance.
