I'm about to spend some time I could put to better use cleaning up the thread.

Yesterday on the combine coverage on NFL network they said the Jets will have to be active in FA and stockpile in the draft because they are in “Noah’s Ark mode”....they need 2 of everything.  ?

Basically.

They don’t have a starting OT under contract.

Their best pass rusher had 8.0 sacks and is a FA; their 2nd best pass rusher is a FA.

Their 3 best corners all allowed passer ratings of over 95.0.

4 of their top 5 tacklers were DBs.

I would rather we spend big on either OL or DL because we know we can always take our shot at a WR1 in the loaded draft. Anyone saying we can get Diggs or Cooper are kidding themselves. I think Conklin makes sense because OL tends to play into their mid 30s so the investment is longer term and he is proven. DE tends to be a shorter window of production for a big price tag.

Almost have to get a WR1 before the draft; can’t count on such an important component coming from an immediate rookie contribution in an offense as complex as Daboll’s.

Yes they are a mess. That’s why I don’t think they draft a WR1 in round 1....Too many other needs. I think thy will go OT or DE depending on FA.

I see 11 as the most likely landing spot for Chaisson since I think there’s a real chance that all of Becton/Willis/Wirfs could be gone.

There seem to be a plethora of good linebackers available this year in free agency, and the Bills clearly need to replace Lorenzo Alexander.

I hope this is the route they choose.

Kyle Fackrell, Joe Schobert, Blake Martinez, Jamie Collins, Nick Kwiatkowski, Danny Trevathan, and De'vondre Campbell will all likely hit the market.

Depending on what the Bills want in a 2nd Will linebacker (I always thought Alexander played SAM, but Beane corrected that notion the other day), they could go a number of different directions. Personally, I like Fackrell because he also offers value as a pass rusher on 3rd down, and De'Vondre Campbell, because he's still young and would fit in nicely as an athletic linebacker who can play the run and cover fairly well.

I'm fine with a draftee, too, but with a bunch of offensive needs, not to mention corner, safety, and edge, I think they ought to pick from the above crop instead.

Fully agree. I think there will be a run on QBs, and OTs. If one of of top board WR1s gets to 13/14 it could get interesting.

Not sure the colts slide back, tb at 14 makes a lot of sense. A WR is almost certainly going to den at 15 if they slide

I totally agree. I just quoted the same about Denver on another post. They are 100% WR. Colts are the question mark.

Don't know how true or reliable the source is, but I saw an article yesterday saying the Bears and Bengals could be finalizing a deal for Dalton. Could be a good spot for him. Then hopefully at some point he could finish his career as a Lion.....

There's a bunch of interesting QBs and teams needing QBs this year, the league could look pretty different next year with new veteran  QBs in new homes

This defense plays so much sub packages it’s hard to know exactly what Zo was pegged as  in base packages. Seems like they had him at Sam though, I agree

I feel like Ruggs is destined for Denver.

As of now I see 9 jax, 10 cle, 14 tb and 16 atl that would be willing to slide back for more picks, but it all depends on how the feel on the blue chippers left and what needs they are looking to fill in the draft.

Jax is cash strapped and will need more players to fill holes on their roster imo. The GM and HC are on their last legs and the inability to sign UFAs could easily push their attention to the draft to bolster the roster enough to save their jobs. This move would be very expensive, so our board better be right...

Cle will be looking hard at OT imo, but if they get exhausted quicker than 10, they could be a spot, especially with a new hc and gm who will want to shape the roster with more of their guys.

TB we have a good trading relationship with and again, team needs could allow them to slide back and nab an extra pick or 2.

Atl is a cap hell team and will need as many picks as possible to flesh out their roster.

I can't recall a time where there was ever this much movement in regards to QBs

The savant Albright has him or Reagor pegged to Den.

My personal opinion is that he sure fits past Raider WR profiles and it would shock me to see Mayock take him at 12.

One of these 3 are going to slide a bit unless a big trade happens, which I could see Philly trying to do

I like the Bears offense and QB situation as a fit for Dalton but I don’t like Windy City for him. His arm is built for the Chargers or a dome. Hes the quintessential September HOFer but always seemed like when it cold and windy in Ohio his arm couldn’t cut through it

Yeah. Cover 1 and Chris Brown both called him a Will, and I was dubious. Then, Brandon Beane himself said the same and Lorenzo confirmed it on Twitter. In terms his size and physical profile and where/how he lined up, we all assumed he was a Sam. I'll be honest, I didn't know a defense COULD have two Wills, but I'm not going to question the GM and the player himself.

I read somewhere that the Sam and Will in this D are pretty much interchangeable, as well as the SS and FS. It may have been cover 1

Nonsense.  They have about 2000 cases of smelling salts in the equipment room, and the supplier is on speed dial.  ?

If Jax tags their DE then we can definitely do a deal with them.

If that were true they would be sniffing the goal line more......

Good.

He can bring that wonderful pass blocking that saw the Bills destroy the Titans’ OL to the tune of 5 sacks, 8 pressures, 5 hurries, and 4 QB knockdowns to a team we play 2x per year ?

He gave up zero sack in his last 11 games and got a top 5 grade from PFF. We got sacks up the middle!!!!! OT does stop DTs......  You don't think he wouldn't be our best RT since forever? Name a single decent RT we have had that made a pro bowl...

Remember...............

these players are great if they wanna sign with the Bills and they suck if they wanna go elsewhere.
