Home opener parking advice?

thebug

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone can give me some parking advice for the home opener?  Where would you recommend? Pricing? Can we reserve a spot?

Mud lot? Danny’s? Other Private lot?

Feel free to comment even if you are not providing exact advice, as I can weed through the comments and still figure out how many recommendations there are.

Thanks in advance!

Go Bills!

TBDHOTG or some such Thread is for reserving parking at Hammers for TBD members

Thank you! Apparently that thread is for reservations only. No questions allowed, unless you are part of the clique. Just looking for other options.

thanks again!

Hammers Lot, place a sign on you’re dashboard you’re tbd, and get there by 8:30 am.  You won’t regret it.  He runs a fantastic show each week.

Thanks!

If you are a TBD member by default you are part of the clique

or so I’m told.

8:30 Am is too damn early for me

Apparently not. If Mead doesn’t like you, you are out!

Depends on what your plan for having fun is and how fast you need to exit.  For instance, ECC lots have lots of green space in surrounding areas that can be used for fun and games.  Parking is $25 there.  The further away you are willing to be, the cheaper the price and the quicker the exit.  The New Era Field House is great for pregame activities and is underutilized, imo.    It's free to enter and offers plenty to do.  There are usually many kid friendly activities, free group photos and Bills alumni brought in to sign autographs.  I park at Bert's Bikes on Southwestern Drive for $15 and the walk through the ECC lots to my seat is about 3/4 of a mile.   There is a traffic light there and I can easily head south from there.

If you want to tailgate before and after then all options are ok.  If you are headed north and are in a hurry you need to listen to someone else's advice.

So what does it cost to park at Hammers?

Why is it such a big secret?   Other lots tell their price.  For $10, I'll find anyone with a beard and squirt ketchup and mustard all over them!!!!

How much is Hammer's Lot?

Does anyone know??????  Price goes up more often than my property taxes.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO POST IN IN THE THREAD IF YOU ARE NOT RESERVING A SPOT.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE THE IDIOT (dc Tom) that has to post when the word please is used in the thread to keep it to reserving a parking spot.

Must  be a disability that you have.

Could be you think you are better than everyone else.

DID YOU NOT SEE MY POST ABOUT THIS THREAD BEING FOR PEOPLE NOT NAMED MEAD?

FOLLOW THE RULES!!!

Hmmm. A few posts have been deleted? Where did they go?

You’re bordering on “Who’s the Richard Head who closed my thread?” territory.

But since this thread allows for commentary, Hammers Lot is fun but you’re packed in like sardines. I’m somewhat claustrophobic and anti-social. I like to park at the McKinley Mall. Wide open lot. Very few people there. Can throw the football to myself at 6am under the lights which gives me that “stadium” feel. I crank the pre-game show at 7am, call in give my prediction (Call sign “Joe from Java Center”). At 7:30am I typically take a nap until 8:15am. I start my quick walk to the stadium at 9am. Pack up my Radio Flyer wagon which has an antique toaster oven filled with charcoal. As I walk the toaster oven bakes my dozen wings perfectly for my arrival at the stadium area at 12:40. I bring along @CountryCletus‘ dog bowl (good luck tradition) and toss my perfectly baked wings in Franks, Miracle Whip and butta’. Then I ask a person walking by to spray me in hamburger relish. No crowds for me and parking is cheap.

Best of luck in your search and feel free to join me if you’d like. I can reserve you a spot at the Mall.

I always park on Big Tree (one of the houses somewhat close to the 219 entrance) for 10 bucks, then hoof it over to the Hammer Lot.

can see that being a good option

No problem bud.  We’re flying up for the opener from Florida, so myself, my two sons, and about a dozen and a half of my relatives will be there.  I always love meeting TBD guys so we can have an adult beverage together.  I’ll pm you if interested.  I hope everyone else keeps that sign in you’re car so we know who each other are in Hammers.

There should be a banner. Scott has the big one but hasn't brought it since the year he got it. I might have the smaller one, or I gave it to Mead to hang onto since he's there every week.

Not sure yet, it will take me some time to filter out the unrelated comments before I can see my options.

If you need help counting, I am here for you.

It will be tough.  But I know I can do it.

If you could have it completed before the home opener, that would be great!

I can't promise anything.  I need to sift through all of these other BS posts.  Where the hell is the report button??!?!?!?!?!
