Derek Anderson Hasn't Been Declared Out for the Bears Game - Now Declared Out!

McD pulling some gamesmanship must be it at this point, trying to gain an edge any way he can get it? Not sure what the NFL rules on this are though

I'm sure the Bears are panicking over whether the Bills are starting Peterman or Anderson

What other option do we have?

Playing Nate guarantees a lose.

Derek is really our only real option atm.

With Derek Anderson, Buffalo's offense averages 4.5 points per game (thanks to our kicker).

I could go on but I'm pretty sure that stat alone hammers it home, right?

It honestly does not matter at all. Peterman is trash, Anderson is trash. It matters little. At least Peterman has a TD pass to go with all those turnovers. Anderson just has the turnovers. They are both probably the worst two QB’s currently on any NFL roster. If Peterman gives you a 1% chance of winning Anderson probably gives you a 1.05% chance. He doesn’t move the needle much.

Please let Peterman finish the season, and lock down that #1 pick

We still wouldn’t get it because the Raiders have completely quit on Gruden. They won’t win another game. Say what you will about McD, but his players play hard for him. I expect this defense to win at least another 2 games for us.

If Peterman has to start, I would make sure Daboll calls less then 10 pass plays all game and I am all but telling Nate, if you don’t see it completely safe, do not throw it. I would not let this guy sink us again. I’d also have Barkley ready to go in as soon as the second interception happens. It’s not really a matter of if, it’s more of a matter when. I’d have as many creative ways to run the ball as humanly possible and not let Peterman throw another game away.

The only problem with that strategy is that it plays directly into the strength of the Bears' D.

Playing Nate is surrendering, which is the same as conceding.

At least Derrick gives us a slight possibility of a win.

Yes. A guy coming off a concussion with no practice, who has 6 Turnovers and no Touchdowns in 2 games, both against two of the worst defenses in the NFL, gives me a ton of confidence.

They were blown out 37-5 and 25-6 under Anderson.

I think the only reason he hasn't been declared out is he's probably a better option to serve as the backup.

The Bills presumably think Anderson is a better option than Barkley (they were both on the street when they selected Anderson) and Anderson has 8 practices or whatever relative to Barkley's 2.

So if he's cleared maybe they cut Barkley.

Last time Pickerman started a game it was 40-0 by the time he was pulled in the third quarter. The chargers game last season when he was pulled the score was 37-7 at halftime.
