I get the frustration with the execution of it but it NEEDED to happen. Our cap situation was F'd. We had no choice. From the minute Beane and McDermott got here its been a race to get rid of as many old guard players as possible. Even the ones who could have helped us down the road. Very rarely have they been replaced with anything close to a good player. The plan is not sneaky smart.
