Royale with Cheese
Apparently this was announced in January and I never heard about it. Happy
Not sure. Trying to visualize the storyline and plot of the movie. I mean they can't just show the one apartment room and him changing his shoes for two hours.

He does go to "The Neighborhood of Make-Believe", has speedy deliveries, and visits violin makers and paper mills.

Fadingpain
The real Mr. Rogers was a pretty normal, decent guy, right? Like he wasn't a pedophile or drug addict or anything. So I will probably not see it. Not sure there's much of a movie there.
ChevyVanMiller
The documentary is wonderful. He was a brilliant man that tackled subjects like racism, assassination and the threat of nuclear war head-on with grace and dignity. https://www.history.com/news/mr-rogers-episodes-taboo-topics Edited August 10, 2018 by ChevyVanMiller 1

I like Tom Hanks too, it's just that I think he gets too many real-life roles. His performance as Walt Disney was weird. Not the first person I would have picked for that role, or for this. Yet for some reason, Felicity Jones has been cast to play Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Edited August 9, 2018 by Mark Vader
LeGOATski
Yeah, I'll definitely see it. Tom Hanks is a weird choice. Shoulda been Nicolas Cage.
Fr. Jerk
Should have been played by Bill Cosby, IMHO.

I didn't know there was the documentary that Chevy Van Miller mentioned. I'd be much more interested in watching that than a Hollywood semi-fictional account of his life. In fact, I'll make it a point to see the documentary based on CVM's recommendation. I love good documentaries.

Tom Hanks is a fine actor but there are some roles that he gets that I don't understand. While we're on the subject of actors taking on real life roles, here's what we have to look forward to before the end of the year is over. Felicity Jones as Ruth Bader Ginsburg in "On the Basis of Sex". Hugh Jackman as Gary Hart in "The Front Runner". How about this one, Christian Bale as Dick Cheney in "Vice". And Amy Adams is Lynne Cheney

I want some range in an actor, but he is too commercial to change the formula, better performances are all over the place with less fanfare
